奥巴马总统要访问中国啦!

使馆一直在为美国总统访问做准备,签证处也热情高涨。签证处许多工作人员都在为这次访问帮忙。所以11月16日至18日签证处对外关闭，停止日常签证服务。

昨天，使馆邀请了几位中国博客，对此次访问进行了简要介绍。非移民签证处有它自己的网页及博客，有些签证官员在这次简要介绍会帮忙，这就为中国博客们提供了直接向使馆官员提问的机会。奥巴马总统对我们两国人民之间的开放交流很感兴趣，特别希望与中国年轻人见面，并通过网络交流。

白宫已经在网站http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/A-Dialogue-withChina. 上建立了一个旅游博客。我们非移民签证处长期来一直提倡与中国公众就签证事宜交流。现在，我们邀请读者通过使馆QQ博客http://622008844.qzone.qq.com/. 来关注总统奥巴马的访问。

President Obama is coming to China! 

The Embassy has been preparing for U.S. President Obama’s visit, and the excitement in the Visa Section is also mounting.  Many NIV staff members are helping with the visit details, and our section will be closed for routine services from 16 – 18 November as a result.

Yesterday the Embassy invited several Chinese bloggers for a scene-setter briefing about the visit.  Since NIV has our own a website and blog, some of our officers helped with the briefing, which gave Chinese bloggers a chance to ask their own questions directly to Embassy officials.  President Obama is very interested in an open exchange between the people of our countries, and particularly looks forward to meeting with Chinese young people in person and through the web.
