A man wanted to celebrate his wife's Birthday by throwing a party.
有一个男人想为他的太太办个生日宴会。

So he ordered a birthday cake. The salesman asked him what message he wanted to put on the cake.
所以他订了一个生日蛋糕。卖蛋糕的业务员问他要放什么祝贺词在蛋糕上。

He thought for a moment and said, put "getting older but you are getting better".
他想了一会儿后说，就写“越来越老而你却越来越好”。

The salesman asked "how do you want me to put it?"
业务员问“你要安排怎样摆放祝词？”

The man said 'Well...put "You are getting older" at the top and "but you are getting better" at the bottom.'
男人说：好吧，你就把“你越来越老”摆上面，把“你却越来越好”摆下面。

When the cake was unveiled at the party all the guests were aghast at the message on the cake.
当蛋糕在宴会上被打开时，所有的宾客都被蛋糕上的字吓得目瞪口呆。

It read: "You are getting older at the top, but you are getting better at the bottom".
只见蛋糕上写着：“你的上面越来越老，但你的下面却越来越好”。

Moral of the Story:
故事的启示：
1. Always proof read everything before you send.
   在你送稿前总要再三检查。

2. Don't trust others to write it right for you.
   不要相信别人帮你写的是对的。

3. Don't order cakes by telephone.
   不要电话订蛋糕。

4. If you still do it, book your bed at the ICU first...
