Offers and counter-offers报盘与还盘

It is proper for the exporter to send an immediate reply to the importer's enquiry no matter whether he is able to supply or not. An affirmative reply is actually an offer. There are two kinds of offers: firm offer and non-firm offer. The exporter often promises in a firm offer to supply certain quantity of goods at a fixed price within a stated period of time. Other terms such as specifications,packing, terms of payment must be definite as well. A non-firm offer is an offer with a reservation clause.non-firm offers are usually indicated by means of sending catalogues, price lists ,proforma invoices and quotations.

Sometimes the exporter or the importer may ask for some alterations to the terms and conditions offered by the other,which is what wen call a counter-offer. Similarly,the importer or the exporter will state his own opinions in a letter when he finds some terms and conditions unacceptable to him to the other's counter-offer, which is called as counter-counter-offer.

Whether firm or non-firm, try to keep your offer complete,clear, concise and to the point. A satisfactory offer will include the following: an expression of thanks for the enquiry,if any, details of the goods, so as to enable the customer to make a decision, the period for which the offer is valid if it is s firm offer, otherwise, a remark to the effect that the offer is made without engagement ,favourable  comments on the goods themselves, a supplementary short paragraph to draw the customer's attention to other products likely to interest the customer, an express of hopes for an order.

When making a counter-offer ,the offerer should cover the following points: thank the supplier for the offer, state reasons for express regret at inability to accept the offer; make a counter-offerr if , in the circumstance, it is appropriate, suggest other opportunities to do business together.

无论供应商能不能提供所需要的商品,及时对进口商的询盘进行回复是有必要的。一个赞成的回复实际上就是报盘。有两种报盘方式:实盘和虚盘。出口商往往会对一定时间段,固定的价格和数量的货物报实盘。其它的也需要明确比如说,规格,包装,付款方式。而虚盘实质上一种预定条款。虚盘往往包括寄送货品目录、价格表、正式发票和报价的方式。

有些时候,进口商或者出口商会对对方所提出的实盘进行变更。这就是我们所说的还盘。同样的,如果进口商或者出口商当他发现对方的还盘中有些条款欠佳不能接受时他也可以写信给对方陈述自己的观点。这种被称“反还盘”。

无论是实盘还是虚盘,一定要使得报盘完整,简洁,简练(concise)并且切中主题。一个令人满意的报盘包括以下内容:对对方的询盘表示感激,如果可以的话,还可以描述具体的货物,以便于促使客户下决心去购买,如果报给客户的是实盘那么这段供客户考虑的时间里所报的盘是有效的,另外,对没有实现约定或者没有好评的货物报盘是对订单有显著的影响的。那么做出一个短小的篇幅来转移客户的注意力,把他们转移到他们可能感兴趣的产品上,以便于获得订单能够成为可能。

当还盘时,还盘人的文章中应该包括以下内容:感谢提供上的报盘,陈述不能接受报盘的理由;在市场环境下,如果对方的报盘是不合理的,那么才进行报盘,并表明将来有机会大家再一起合作。
