英语学习，是个人最有价值的投资，尤其在上海，英语对个人的加分尤其巨大，怎么选择最好的英语培训呢？

1. 不要参加英语考试培训班。语言学习，长期以来被传统教育误导，一直都是为考试而学习，纸上谈兵，是语言学习最大的误区。语言的功能在于交际，掌握语言必须通过交际的手段实现，同样测试英语能力，也一定要通过交际的手段才能测试，因此社会上各种英语考试，出发点就错了，拿个试卷评价语言能力是荒唐的，就如让你做一份汉语试题，根据分数我能说明你的汉语能力高低吗？语言是艺术和人文，是阅历和心灵的折射，不能用数学的分数来衡量。所以学习英语，如果参加考试辅导班，是错误的导向，没有必要枉费时间和金钱，或许你过了考试能拿到证书，但时代变化了，上海的哪家外企还在看你的证书啊？但无一不在审视你的英语表达能力。

2. 不要参加满堂灌的课堂。如果你聪明点，到一家学校走走，不必要进入课堂，在教室外面看看，如果老师在不停地讲课，学生在不停地记录，或者你听到的全是老师的声音，这样的课堂一定要避开。因为语言学习需要出声，互动，参与。如果老师讲话的时间，在课堂上超过了学生训练的时间，这不是语言学习课堂，是专题讲座。

3. 不要错误选择教学材料。语言同步于时代，你一定要学习最新的，这不仅激发无限乐趣，更容易接近英美人士。有的学校选择新概念英语，却不知它岁数已老，英国人早已不那么说英语了；有的学校提供网络教程，多年都是老面孔，不图发展；昨天有位妈妈带着自己19岁的女儿过来，说听取了上外老师的建议，为女儿报读了3万元的英语学习班，结果学了一周，孩子就不愿去了，我问她为什么，孩子说没有兴趣，之后拿出上课的材料来，那是15年前我在英国看过的一本书上的复印材料，如果这样教学，学生怎能学好英语呢？！这就如你要教给学汉语的外国人：要做又红又专的共产主义的接班人，这样的语言已经过时；有的学校干脆就选择PPT材料，把书本上的东西搬到电脑上，换个媒介物，这种方法只能偶尔使用，如果教学就依赖PPT, 学生很快就陷入消极思维，缺乏互动和训练，成为满堂灌课堂，就如小孩子看电视一样，随着光影闪动，她已完全失去了积极思维，没有交际欲望，像沙发土豆。

4. 不要失之偏颇，英语提高是综合。很多学生说，我就想提高口语，还有的说，我就练练怎么写邮件就好了，其实英语能力的提高，最快捷的方法是综合提升，失之偏颇，强调单一能力，是学习英语的误区，听说读写四种能力相互交织，相辅相成，无法分割，更不要人为地肢解它。

5. 不要在初级选择大锅饭。尤其对于初级学习者，如果选择了大锅饭，老师就不能为你针对性施教，你在英语学习的初期，就容易丧失信心和兴趣，这种代价是巨大的。英语学习者很多是受过挫折的，以致对英语产生抵触心理，影响了前程。初级阶段的学习，一定有好的老师精心地制作量身教程，系统性提高，这样才能冲破云层，看到太阳，实现英语学习的加速度，这时候，你再也不会担心遗忘，也不用担心学不好英文，因为英语已经贴身，成为你生活的新动力。

有的学校，学生每次去上课，都面对不同的老师，讲授不同的PPT，老师基本都是满堂灌，这样的话，你没有时间提问题，老师也没有时间为你提供系统提升的建议和计划，这就是应试教育，让学生受累，却学不会英语，之后可能拿到证书，但证书不能自助，因此一定要珍惜年轻岁月，把英语学习变成稳操胜券的机会，选择好的培训机构，让机会不再溜走。

英语学习分成三块：语音，语法，语汇。这三块你先要把握要领，最快捷有效的要领。把握的越好，你学习的速度越快。亲爱的同学们，你把握这三块的要领了吗？自己可以衡量一下，对这三块内容的理解。语音即英语的发音规则和重读；语法即英语动词的用法，包括两个“态”：时态与语态；语汇即词汇和固定搭配。学习英语的过程，你需要成功度过第一块，第二块，然后熟练第三块，第三块的语汇学习，不是靠背诵单词的方式进阶的，是通过学习句子的方式增长词汇量，重点应该放在固定搭配上。比如学习单词take,你不能机械背诵它的汉语意思，很多英语单词翻译成汉语意思也很难，应该学习它的固定搭配，比如：take bus, take pictures, take a shower, take a rest, take medicine 等等。

很多学习者，有比较急切的目标需求，比如要出国工作，要在外企担当重任等，这时候更需要接近好的老师和教学，以获得全面快速的提升。强化过程，也是围绕上述的三大块，系统周密的做文章。多数学习者，在前两块内容的学习上，获得很大成就感，到了第三块，词汇听说阶段，容易产生自我怀疑，甚至怀疑老师的教学，主要原因是自己错误设定了参照物，不自觉地将老师，或者比自己英语好很多的同学设定为参照物，一比之下，看到差距，容易自馁。学习者和优秀者之间找差距，因此更加发奋学习，这是好事，但要客观评价自己的英语学习效果，还是要和自己上个月的语言能力比较，或者和三个月前的自己相比，你就容易真实看到自己的成绩。

语言学习到第三块，主要从老师那里领略技巧和方法，不断运用到自身的实践，需要反复训练，方能入熟练之境。学到这个地步，要靠自己的时间投入与精力投入，不能仅仅依靠老师在课堂上有限的训练，老师指明了训练方法和学习方法，自己要反复琢磨，琢磨不同的用法，不同的发声，不同的语用效果等，就如驾驶，你离开驾校，拿到驾照，只不过是学到了方法，但这些交规与理论的运用，还需要更多路程的磨砺。因此学到第三块内容，就要曲不离口，拳不离手，直到把“英语语言”这本厚厚的书渐读渐薄。就如汉语的普通话，即使短短一句话，你认为自己说的足够标准了，但与专业播音员相比，仍有明显的差距。在语汇运用方面也是一样，要通过大量的自觉的反复实践，才能对语言驾轻就熟，妙语连珠。就如汉语的海派清口，周立波对汉语语言的掌握，也非一日之功。

今天上午参加了上海艺术博览会，采撷了奇葩与大家分享。用色彩和线条搭建起来的创意主题，激发我们对艺术的思考和探求，在丰富的艺术殿堂里，我们又一次领略了世界之大。

This morning I attended the Shanghai Art Fair and took some pictures to share with you. The colors and lines are successfully used to keep evoking emotions of adventure and enjoyment.

The plush greenery represents nature at its best and the white symbolizes an innocence to the nature. This white blossomed tree keeps a perfect dialogue with the white flowers scattered in the grass. The yellow background makes the whole garden warm and homelike.

This red tree is a beautiful contrast to the green and yellow background. This painting is a true epitome of spring, colorful, blissful and beautiful contrasts.

It is said that a great harvest is reaped in the golden autumn season. The autumn season is one of the most important seasons because one truly reaps what they have sown.

The weeping willow hangs its leaves and branches down to the tranquil lake. This joyful view reminds me of my childhood.

This is a young buxom girl who has a curvaceous figure. A huge hat can’t cover her pride of being youthful.

This painting screams “African Goddess” to me. Her rounded behind, full breasts and confidence resembles attributes of an African woman.

In this world, you and I are two individuals who are walking together and being with each other, but we never even have a chance to be merged into one. We are parallel even our shadows can’t cross.

A classic metaphor says the nest and bird describe the male and female’s reproductive organs. This painting gives an illustrative way for that. The nestle is home for the bird which also needs fly.

Dogs are human's best friends. Now you can see the young lady's respecting gesture towards this gentlemanlike doggie.

The beauty and uniqueness of a woman is not identified by many. It takes one of a kind individual to fully appreciate such. This painting evokes emotions of women being portrayed as different, special and modern.

This picture shows luscious and juicy fruits and it gives the hint that the woman’s body has the same attributes.

When a woman is breast-feeding, her breasts are naturally exposed. This is human nature as it is human nature for animals to feed.

Women have unimaginably bountiful reasons to be with each other. They have so many things in common, they have the same many desires to explore the differences between them.

This painting reminds me of an ancient Chinese idiom “ Spring flowers and the bright moon in the autumn time”. The blossoming pink flowers obviously represent new beginnings and happy times. The lush greenery symbolizes the healthy harvest that is always expected in the autumn time.

     I was sent to Baghdad in 2002 where I worked for the Embassy of China. In the beginning months, I was shown many popular sites in Iraq. This particular place is called Lover’s Palace.  I couldn’t help doing the martial arts in the spacious area while one of my colleagues captured the moment.  Besides my performing martial arts, the landscape is very simple. The walls of the palace are old and beginning to crack.  To the right of the entryway is some Iraqi writing.  The sky doesn’t have a cloud in sight and is a beautiful blue color.  Through the double entryway, one can see the basic and simple surroundings of Iraq.

      This is the famous Samara tower.  It is known for it’s narrow pathway.  It is mysterious that without any type of railings no one has ever fallen off of the edge.  The simplicity of the structure is breathtaking.  The spiral pathway gradually leads you up the building to the very top where one can stand in amazement at the surroundings. The sky is a simple blue without any clouds. The brick is very original and same throughout the entire building.

As the war became impending, reporters from CCTV came to visit and I met them in the ambassador’s office. You can see six men in this picture and I am the third from the left. The man on the right has on a vest while all of the others have on different jackets. We all joined in conversation while enjoying a cup of tea.

     When the Spring festival comes it is tradition to put up couplets. This is my calligraphy with the ambassador’s script. I am between two reporters from Hong Kong that came to visit the embassy. The woman on the right has a pink scarf wrapped around her neck. The other woman has on a white collared shirt underneath a black jacket. I smile big in my suit, blue shirt and tie.

     This place was once called Saddam International Airport, but when the Iraq war broke out, the American troops took over the airport during the first stage of war. They modified the airport into the name of : Baghdad International Airport. You can tell that this is a very big airport with a lower and upper level. In the center is a courtyard planted with palm trees and other desert plants. A road borders this green oasis, taking travelers to specific parts of the airport.

             In the year of 1999, the Chinese embassy building in Belgrade, the former  Yogoslavia, was bombed by the US. This picture was taken from the basement afterwards. You can see the several layers of ceilings that were torn up. Huge holes were created, bending back and distorting the steel rods that hold the ceiling together. Blocks of cement dangle, ready to fall at any moment.

                      The embassy in Baghdad was forced to evacuate due to safety precautions. I was able to get a picture before we left. Behind the car is the embassy courtyard that was in the middle of the embassy. The car displays the Chinese flag on the front，showing loyalty and pride for China.

     It is unusual to see the leaves of a palm tree surrounded by freezing snow. I stand under the pavilion as I contemplate about the reasons of war.

            When the war was still going on, one of my friends from Hong Kong went to the empty embassy, where she found that some of the locals, now homeless, had sought refuge in the walls of the embassy. This family had moved into my secretary’s office.  Their clothes appear worn and dirty. The emotions on their faces only express suffering.

     Some men greet my friend in the embassy’s main building. They were able to find a poster of Chairman Mao and the national emblem of China. The staircase is littered with bottles, paper that have been scattered about.  Though not sure if the men were living there or not, they appear dirty and tired.
