永兴古寺地处蒙顶山西麓，五峰龙脉流注于此，为蒙顶山佛寺之中心。建寺悠久，渊源流长，高僧辈出，享誉禅林。其沉浮兴衰史，成其积淀深厚之历史文化底蕴：有极具特色之石铸寺宇建筑，现存的石殿为国内之罕见；有甘露祖师辑成的佛门必修晚课——《蒙山施食仪》光耀千古；有流泉清茶，以禅茶闻名于世；有诸多诗文联句，以名士黄云鹄真迹为贵。
