爱因斯坦：大学教育的价值在于学会思考

17世纪的数学家、哲学家笛卡尔（就是发明坐标系的那位法国人）说过这样一句话：“我思故我在”，他把思作为人存在的根本价值。我在这里想强调的是，大学本科阶段是一个人生学习过程中的转折点：在此之前的中小学教育，是以接受知识为主；而在大学本科阶段，要变为以思考为主。爱因斯坦就是这样认为的，他说：“大学本科教育的价值，不是学习很多事实，而是训练大脑去思考。”（“The value of a college education is not the learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think.”）如何思考？不是人云亦云，而是独立思考。只有独立思考，才会有创造性思考，才会有批判性思考。这也正象爱因斯坦所说：“独立思考和判断一般能力的开发应该总是被放到最重要的位置，而不是专门知识的获取。”

（“The development of general ability for independent thinking and judgment should always be placed foremost, not the acquisition of special knowledge.”）。好思应该是大学生的第一要务。

中国有位著名的教育家也曾说过：百学思为先！
