The Australian Garden

由澳大利亚景观事务所Taylor Cullity Lethlean和植物专家保罗·汤普森设计的澳大利亚花园位于墨尔本南部澳大利亚皇家植物园中，由一处旧采石场改造而成，预算达1100万美元，于2012年完成。凭借繁多的植物种类和精巧的设计，荣获2013年WAF最佳景观奖，是全球最美植物园之一。
园内被设计成一个穿越之旅，力求通过园艺，构建，生态，艺术最大限度的呈现澳大利亚生态、沙漠和海岸等各类景观。共展示17万棵植物，物种多达1700多种。采用了一系列雕塑和艺术景观元素，融合最具澳洲风情的颜色，材料，呈现出红色的大地，绿色的草地和蓝色的天空，为游客创造了一次不同反响的独特之旅。花园主要分为东部和西部，中间一水相隔。东部主要是比较正式和规则的人造自然景观，西部则主要是不规则的人造自然景观。花园里面的各个景观交融，路径也是交错。变化随时都在发生。把传统风格的文化，建筑学，生态学和艺术完美的结合在一起，创造出澳大利亚最大的以独特植物群为主的花园。
The Australian Garden by Taylor Cullity and Paul Thompson from a former sand quarry is located in Royal botanic park, south Melbourne; with the construction budget of $11 million, the Garden known as one of the most beautiful gardens in the world has been completed in 2012 and awarded the 2013 WAF Landscape highlighting both natural features of the Australian countryside and modern landscape design.
It created a journey through the various landscapes of Australia from the desert to the coastal fringe, via the artistry of landscape architecture, this integrated landscape brings together horticulture, architecture, ecology, and art to create the largest botanic garden devoted to Australian flora. The 170,000 plants representing 1700 species incorporated gives a real feel for the flora across the continent. Adopt a series of sculptures and artistic landscape elements, combined with the local color, material to present the red earth, green grass and blue sky and create a unique journey for visitors. The Garden mainly is divided into east part and west part which are separated by the artificial river. The landscape in the East is the more formal artificial natural landscape, while the west is mainly the irregular artificial natural landscape. Every landscape is connected by the roads. Change happens all the time. The traditional culture, architecture, ecology and art perfectly unify together and create Australia's largest garden with unique flora.
