Waterfront Area
紧邻密歇根湖，滨水区域是芝加哥城市中重要的景观要素。流动的水与芝加哥城市建筑形成了鲜明的对比。而水不仅是人与自然之间情结的纽带，也是城市中富于生机的体现。沿着带状的滨水区域，通过林荫步行道、自行车道、植被及景观小品将整个区域联系起来，不仅保持水体的连续性，同时结合布置绿地，公园，营造出宜人的市民及游客休憩的城市生态环境。
Close to Michigan Lake, waterfront area is an
important landscape element in Chicago. The soft water and the hard
artificial buildings are in stark contrast. Water is not only the
emotional bond between people and nature, but also the vitality of
the city. Along the strip waterfront space, to connect the whole
area by footpaths, bike paths, vegetation and landscape articles,
which not only keep the continuity of the water, but also create
the comfortable ecological environment where citizens and tourists
eager to stay for rest.
在滨水区域提供多种形式的功能，如绿茵休憩场地、儿童娱乐区、广场、游艇码头、亲水木平台、赏鱼区等，结合人们的各种活动组织室内外空间，丰富整个空间布局，强调人们的参与性。
There are various functions in waterfront space, such as rest
place, children entertainment area, yacht dock, viewing deck,
fishing area, to enrich the whole space layout and emphasize the
public participation by combining the different indoor and outdoor
spaces.
