     家长如何指导孩子阅读这个绘本呢？

    让我们先来看一下阅读这篇文章所要达到的目标：

    1. 利用已有的知识背景来理解文章的内容。

    2. 理解文章的主要意思与细节。

    3. 识别并使用动词。

     5. 掌握高频词：day, on, we

    6. 掌握故事关键词汇：cheer, dress up, football, friends, game, watch

我们可以按照以下几个步骤来进行这个绘本的学习：

    一、读前准备：

    1. 激活背景知识（Build background）：家长们可以问问孩子：Have you ever watched a football game on TV? What is a game day? What do you usually do on game day?

     2. 建立故事意识（Book Walk）：

      家长可以从封面开始，和孩子进行有互动的问答。并可以将这个故事的主要句型写给孩子看：We......on game day.并鼓励孩子联系平时的生活大胆地讲一讲他在game day做什么。家长可以用这样的话来描述封面场景，并激发孩子的兴趣：I see some families on the cover of The Big Game. They are watching something on TV. They are all dressed in football jerseys and cheering. I think this story will be about the things people do when they watch football games. I wonder what other kind of things they will do on game day.Let's read and find out!

       通常，孩子希望和爸爸妈妈一起来寻找这个故事的答案。家长可以针对每一页的场景做一些提问：What are they doing on game day? What do you see in this picture? What do you usually do when you are watching a football game? 同时，也可以让孩子提问，建立他们的问题预设意识。

     二、开始阅读：

    1. 在这一阶段，孩子已经有了一定故事背景的积累，家长可以请孩子自己阅读故事。并培养孩子在大声朗读时用手指读的习惯。

    2. 家长可以适时地与孩子互问互答，引起孩子的阅读兴趣，并请孩子找出故事的细节及其重点,这个阶段我们把它叫做 think-aloud。家长可以在这个过程中请孩子自行阅读并讲出故事的主要意思与细节（main idea and detail）。

    三、读后巩固：

    1. 讨论(Discussion)：这一阶段可以巩固孩子刚读的故事的内容，可以问问孩子：What kind of things does our family do on game day?    

    2. 独立操练（independent practice）：让孩子根据故事问家长问题，家长可以适时的掌握孩子是否看懂了这个故事。

    3. 思考延续(Enduring understanding):这一过程是对文本的一个再生成的过程，家长可以给孩子一些另外的问题，培养他们的创造性思维：In this book, you read about the things families do when they watch football on TV. Are there any other times your family gathers together to watch something on TV? What are some of the things you do to get ready? 同时，家长还可以根据孩子的认知程度，请孩子们做一些书面的再创作。
