教学内容

七上Starter Module 3 Unit 3 What color is it?

 

教学目标

1.     学生能够听说读写关于颜色的英文单词,例如red, black, white, blue, green, yellow, brown, orange, colour

2.     学生能够灵活使用“What color is it?” “Can you spell it?” “What this in English?” 等习惯表达。

3.     学生能够理解中西方对于不同颜色含义的不同,尊重西方国家文化。

4.     学生能够用英语流利表达周围的事物以及颜色形态。

 

教学重、难点

1.     学生能够听说读写关于颜色的英文单词,例如red, black, white, blue, green, yellow, brown, orange, colour

2.     学生能够灵活使用“What color is it?” “Can you spell it?” “What this in English?” 等习惯表达。

Step 1: Enjoy a video

Share a short video about colors with students and ask students “What can you see in the video?” [d1]  .

Step 2: Learn some colors

Give students some pictures about colors and ask

“What color is it?”  

“Can you spell it?”[2]

Step 3: Learn the meanings

Students learn the meanings of different colors.

 

blue – sad     “She feels blue today”

yellow -- mean  “a yellow dog(卑鄙的人)”

“yellow books (西方国家的政府报告)”

white – pure(纯洁)&peace

black – death

green – envy (嫉妒)   “green – eyed (嫉妒)

Students choose one of the pictures and make a conversation like this:

A: What this [5]   in Englis?
B: It’s a telephone, t-e-l-e-p-h-o-n-e

A: What color is the telephone?

B: It’s yellow, y-e-l-l-o-w[d7]  , yellow.

Step 6: Pair work

Two students in a group, list the things in the classroom and write the colors of them, and then make a summary.

Encourage students to share more colors they know with each other. Ask if they can spell them.

Add more colors:pink, purple, gold, silver, grey ..

After presentations, ask students to work in pairs and practise more.
