Unit 1 He lives the farthest from school 教学设计

一、文本分析

本单元主题为交通方式以及对其评价。文章通过Betty与母亲讨论同学去学习的交通方式,从而用形容词的最高级(-est, most)对各个交通方式进行评价。因此在教学过程中会先通过旅游的话题引出交通方式,让学生对其进行评价(学生已知的形容词原形),然后再选取几种交通方式进行对比,让学生感知、操练以及运用形容词的最高级

二、学期分析

学生已经在Module 2和3学习了形容词的比较级形式(-er,more),其变化规律与形容词的最高级相似。因此可以从形容词的原形入手,引出形容词比较级,最终通过大量对比引出形容词最高级。从已知到未知,循序渐进。

三、教学目标

1、语言知识目标

功能:描述评价交通方式

语法:形容词最高级(规则变化与不规则变化)

词汇:accident, crowded, far, close以及各个形容的最高级

2、语言技能目标

听:能听懂含有形容词最高级的对话以及对交通方式的评价

说:能用形容词的最高级对事物进行对比评价

四、教学重难点

1、重点:形容词最高级的规则变化(-est, most)以及不规则变化

2、难点:形容词最高级前面加the,这是学生很容易忽略的细节,因此会在课件中强调;学生会难以分辨形容词最高级的如何变化,规则变化加est,most还是不规则变化

五、教学过程

Step 1 Lead-in

1、Show a video of the program “花儿与少年”

T: This program is about …?   S: Travelling.

T: Yes. National Day is coming, are you going to travel?    S; Yes.

T: If you want to travel, you must need some transportation.

Q: What transportation do you know?

意图:通过头脑风暴,唤醒学生头脑中已知的交通方式

2、T: I think travelling by plane is fast. What do you think of travelling by plane?

T: What do you think of travelling by plane?

S: I think travelling by bus is …

意图:通过评价交通方式引出形容词原形

Step 2 Presentation

1、Where to go?

T: I want to go to Yongjia, Hanzhou or Beijing on National Day. Let’s look at some information about them and make a choice.

意图:通过从形容词的原形入手,引出形容词比较级,最终通过大量对比引出形容词最高级。从已知到未知,循序渐进地让学生感知形容词最高级。

2、How to go?

T: I want to go to Beijing. How can I go to Beijing?

S: You can go to Beijing by… / You can take/ride/drive… to Beijing.

Choose three ways to Beijing and ask Ss to help me make a choice.

意图:通过三种交通方式在四个方面的对比,让学生再一次感知形容词的比较级,并且得到巩固,为下一步的操练打下基础

S: You can go to Yongji by… / You can take/ride/drive… to Yongji. Because it’s the …

Step 3 Pairwork

T: I want to go to Yongjia by car on National Day. What about you?

Make a conversation with your partner like this:
