Computer Science is a joint degree programme of the University of Amsterdamand Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Courses are given at the two Faculties ofScience. Graduates receive a diploma accredited by both universities.

The Master’s programme in Computer Scienceaims to provide you with the knowledge, experience and insights you need tobecome an autonomous professional in the field of computer science. You willlearn a great deal about the technology behind computer systems, software, networkingand online systems. The programme is designed to offer a solid basis for a careerin the business world and also to prepare you for further education as a scientificresearcher. There are several research groups within Vrije UniversiteitAmsterdam where you will have the opportunity to continue your work as ascientific researcher. The Computer Science department has many connections withnational and international companies, which can offer you a flying start toyour career once you have completed your Master’s. Computer Science graduates arein high demand and many of our students find work in their chosen field ofspecialization.

Track 3: Computer Systems and Security

Track 4: High-Performance Computing
