在申请英国留学之前，我们需要对所要申请的专业有一个较为系统性的认知。大家都知道，在如今的就业市场里，计算机专业可以说是一枝独秀，俨然成为了当下的行业新贵。因此吸引了很多优秀的同学想要报考这个专业，今天重点要说的是本科金融转申英国计算机，到底该如何申请呢？跟着慧德留学一起来看看吧。

1.保持高绩点

英国院校非常偏爱均分高的学生。

当然，本科院校也非常重要，如果不在招生委员会的名单里，连申请的资格都没有，均分再高也无济于事。如果本科背景是211/985，几乎不会被任何一所院校排除在外，只是具体位于哪一个梯队的学校的区别。

在英国院校眼中，院校背景并非不可逾越地鸿沟，只要均分足够优秀，例如，双非（在List中）+均分90的申请者是可以胜过985+均分75的申请者的。

所以，申请英国院校，虽然高绩点不是万能的（本科院校也很重要），但没有高绩点是万万不能的，尤其是数理相关的课程分数一定要尽可能地高。

2.尽可能多地选修计算机类的课程（尤其是编程）

英国Top10的大学，包括剑桥、牛津、IC、华威在内的顶尖高校，它们的计算机硕士项目无一例外更偏向于计算机科班出身的学生，或者数理专业的学生。部分理工科的专业也有可能被认可。

剑桥大学MPhil in Advanced Computer Science：The first-class honours degree, or equivalent, should be in computer science. Alternatively, applications will be considered from those holding a degree of equal status in engineering scence, mathematics, or another numerate degree, and where the applicant can demonstrate significant relevant preparation for the Cambridge Mphil course.

牛津大学MSc in Advanced Computer Science: a first-class undergraduate degree with honours in computer science or mathematics.

帝国理工学院MSc Advanced Computing: First class honours degree or a high 2:i undergraduate degree. The degree must be in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or another relevant quantitatively-focused degree.

华威大学Computer Science (MSc): Our minimum requirement is a first-class degree in a subject with a substantial computing component.

爱丁堡大学和曼彻斯特大学也对于申请者的具体课程也做出了要求。区别在于爱丁堡大学似乎给了为跨专业申请者也指出了需要弥补的先修课程。

A UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent in informatics artificial intelligence, cognitive science computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or another quantitative discipline.

Entry to this programming is competitive. A typical offer will normally require a UK first class honours degree.

Competence in programming is essential. During your degree you must have completed a programming course in at least one of the following: C/C++,Java, Python, R, Matlab,HaskellML.

During your degree you must have completed the equivalent to 60 credits of mathematics that have typically covered the following subjects/topicscalculus(differentiation and integration),linear algebra(vectors and multidimensional matrices),discrete mathematics and mathematical reasoning(e.g. induction and reasoning, graph theoretic models, proofs), and probability (concepts in discrete and continuous or probabilities. Markov chains etc.)

爱丁堡大学Computer Science MSc

而曼彻斯特大学对于跨专业申请计算机的申请者显得更为苛刻，因为它要求申请者本科计算机相关的课程占50%以上。这一条要求几乎把所有非计算机相关专业的本科生拒之门外。

曼彻斯特大学MSc Advanced Computer Science: We require a First or strong Upper Second-class honours degree(2:1 with 65% average) from a UK university, or the overseas equivalent in a Computer Science degree with a minimum of 50% Computer Science content.

因为金融工程既可能被视为理工科，也可能被看作商科，因此选修一些数理或者计算机相关的课程可以尽可能弥补这方面的不足。

虽然不确定用处是不是很大，但总比什么都不做要强。

值得参考的申请策略：

1.保证申请数量, “死磕”专业

在申请数量面前，不需要任何申请策略。如果铁了心要转计算机，这是最简单粗暴的。

把能接受的目标院校的所有计算机项目全都申请一遍。例如，虽然希望去英国Top10，但是最低也能接受11~15名的院校，那么把这些院校也作为目标院校，因为计算机专业想去大厂找工作没有那么卡QS排名。

2.降低心理预期——“死磕”英国Top10

如果铁了心要保证Top10，跨专业是很难用这个层次的学校保底的。

为了避免因为跨专业而导致的0 offer的出现，那么还是建议用与本科相关的专业保底。

虽然结果可能不是最满意的，但是至少是有学可上。

3.选择一些为非科班出身的申请者开设的计算机项目

这类项目非常少，但英国前十的院校还真的有。

布里斯托大学的MSc Computer Science (Conversion)专门为非计算机专业的本科生开设。可以说是“转码福音”了。

布里斯托大学MSc Computer Science (Conversion):

Entry requirements: An upper second-class honours degree (or international equivalent) in any subject other than computer science or a computer science related subject (this includes Information Technology).Competence in mathematics must be demonstrated, with at least a B grade in GCSE Mathematics or equivalent university-level experience. 

4.选择渐进式转专业的方式

为了避免竞争，放弃一步到位的转专业。

如下的几个专业也可以作为备选的方案：软件工程、网络安全、数据科学、数据分析、商业分析等等。

因为大多数这些专业的本科生也都想往计算机转，因此这些专业相对来说没有计算机那么竞争激烈，数据分析相关的专业跨度相对来说会小一些。如果有着不错的GPA在申请过程中更有竞争力。
