上海新纪元双语学校校徽与校训解读

一、校徽

校徽以大篆的一种变体大方篆和红日为基础造型，初升红日内包含大方篆字样“新纪元”。“纪”字顶部延伸一束长虹横贯天际，表现一往无前的气势。校徽寓意以传统东方文化为根基，继而锐意创新，在世界的舞台上探索新的“地平线”。东升初阳带来“新纪元”。

The logo is based on a variant of the traditional Great Seal script in Chinese  calligraphy combined with the shape of a rising sun. Inside the red rising sun is the characters for “New Epoch” in Great Seal Script. The top of the character extends into a jet stream across the sky, signifying valor in the exploring of new horizons. The logo expresses the school’s goal to imbue in her students a solid base of oriental cultural heritage, while challenging them with the vision and responsibility to innovate and create, and set out to explore new horizons on the stage of the world, bringing about the “New Epoch”.

二、校训：修德  养慧  重道  培贤

修德：修者，研习，锻炼；德者，人们共同生活的准则和规范。修习德行，使道德品性臻于完善。

养慧：养者，抚育，教养；慧者，聪明、有才智。培育智力，使慧心、灵气得到滋养。

重道：重者，重视，着重；道者，规律道理，精神学术的思想体系。着重规律，视道德仁义为至要、紧要之学问。

培贤：培者，培育，帮助人的生长；贤者，贤明，善良，通达。培养有道德、有才华、愿意为社会和民众服务的人。
