2005年的一天，淄博书友陈兄电话告知，一藏家有大约200品齐瓦当欲整体出手，开价2万。我虽然研究齐瓦当，却无收藏瓦当实物雅意。过了几个月，见到陈兄，陈兄拿出两本瓦当拓片，说这就是那批瓦当的拓片，藏家自己拓的；又说那批瓦当后来让艺友傅先生收走，花费大约1.5万。闻听此言我赶紧让陈兄带我去开开眼。

在郊区一处小院的二层楼上，傅先生从床下拖出几个纸箱得意地给我们展示讲解。其中一品“齐”字半瓦当给人印象深刻，傅先生称之为“国瓦”。动物纹瓦当有许多种形式过去根本就没有见过！最令人惊讶的是三足乌形象。这是笔者第一次在齐瓦当上见到三足金乌，之前见到的齐瓦当金乌都是三角形侧面像，看不出几足。按：西汉初年的马王堆帛画、临沂金雀山帛画太阳金乌均为两足，汉画像石中始广见三足乌形象。汉画像石艺术萌芽于西汉昭、宣时期，至新莽、东汉始盛。据此而论，三足乌瓦当年代应当晚于西汉。
