图表作文（英语2大作文）的写法和套用模板注意事项

采用总分结构（第一句总结这个是什么图表，套用句型把图表下方的文字翻译过来；第二段对数据进行具体说明； 第三段从所给信息中总结归纳出论点加以评论）

This(line/curve/pie/bar) chart/table given above clearly shows/illustrates(by comparison) +图表的说明（在图形下方的文字，用名词词组或定语从句表述，时态用一般过去式）+ 时间段（from….to….., 或者 in….and…., during….）1. the New Year expenditure of the citizens in a certain city(how much people spent during their New Year holidays新年各项花销对比图). 2. the factors that people concern about when choosing where to eat(选择在哪个餐馆吃饭时考虑的因素)， 3. The career choices of the students upon their graduation(大学毕业生的就业选择；4. The number of visitors and museums from ….to ….(博物馆与参观人数)。选择名词性短语还是从句，取决于图表内容的复杂程度，当用名词短语不能准确表达语意时，使用从句。

完整句实例：

The bar chart given above clearly illustrates by comparison the number of museums and their visitors from year 2012 to 2018.

The pie chart given above clearly shows the number of tourists and the revenue of the tourism industry from year 2012 to 2018.

对于定于从句使用不是很熟练的同学，建议不要用，以免出错，因为这句是改卷老师留下印象的首要“脉冲”。

第二段 说明数据

承上所述，这里要有连接词或短语，进一步说明具体数据但不要评论。To be specific, specifically speaking；From the information given above, As per the chart, … 某某项目占比多少，从大到小的顺序加以说明，具体占比数据使用动名词短语。对三个以上的项目进行说明时，前面几个之间不要用and, 而是用逗号隔开，在最后一项之前用and 或while(表示与前面数据相反时用)。以新年花销和大学毕业生就业选择为例：

1/To be specific, the largest proportion falls on the cost of buying New Year presents, accounting for 40% of the total expenditures, while the cost for transportation, eating together and others takes up 20 percent respectively.

2/This chart illustrates the different career choices for college students upon graduation.

From the information given, those who choose to pursue further studies for a postgraduate degree take up 30%, those who choose to hunt for a job occupy 55%, and those who choose to go abroad for further studies account for 15%.

第三段评论:从数据中提炼出论点并进行评论（关键部分），写作分数的分水岭就在这里。

从数据分析出你的论点（中性或积极向上的观点），要紧扣原题素材。很多同学在这段不知道要说什么，或表达的内容言不达意，或生硬地套用模板句式，但这些句子和数据表达的深层意思几乎和原题需要表达的语境没法融合，套用痕迹异常明显。这段的要求是语言表达要有层次，语言流利顺畅。一些简单的常用连接词必不可少： to begin with, on one hand, on  the other hand, firstly, secondly, thirdly, first and foremost, moreover, 等等。下面以新年礼物费用占比最高为例：(主要分析礼品费用高的原因，但花销本身就意味着传统，期待来年运气更好，身体更健康)

What are the main factors leading to such a phenomenon? Firstly, the Spring Festival is the biggest traditional holiday in China, when people travel home far away from hundreds or even thousands of kilometers away, just for a get-together among family members. Many people may see their parents or other relatives only once a year. Therefore, a present for the family members is no doubt a must. Under such circumstances, a gift representing their wishes for good luck will be a good choice. Besides, it’s a tradition that the young working people give money-pack, usually in a red envelope, to their parents or to the children.
