永嘉书院座落于风景旖旎、风光独特的小楠溪中游流域，是天然胜景和养生宝地。位于永嘉渠口往大若岩的途中，路旁边有南怀谨老先生书写四个大字“永嘉书院”。往南行，过碇步，就进入景区（此景区现在建设接近尾声,不久就要购买门票），景区里风景优美，溪水盈盈的碇步、飞泻而下的瀑布，永嘉书院是从原先的金坑景区扩展而来，还没全部建好（如果想把以下有关项目全部建好，估计还需N年），但是已经成景的那块，就已经很好玩了。据报道，整个项目占地面积3300亩，设有三大主建筑区，四大辅助区，项目总投资5亿元。项目以文化、休闲、旅游为定位，以寓文化于山水、融豪华与自然、引高端于大众为建设理念，以现代与传统、人文与自然、粗犷与细腻为美学思想，与温州知名企业家、国内外著名的专家教授和文化大家携手合作，共同构筑一个集人文景观、学术研讨、艺术创作、科普体验、展览展示、论坛讲座、修身养性为一体的温州商道文化主题公园，共同打造企业家和文化人诗意的栖生地。

    永嘉书院将结合永嘉学派的事功精神和温州模式的创新力量，实现海内外温州人的文化互动和文化守根，弘扬永嘉学派和温州模式，与世界文化发展的趋势接轨。以传承历史、荟萃当代、开启未来的创新勇气，全面启动“温州商道文化研究中心、永嘉学派研究会、精英教育基地、经济文化和企业家生命论坛、瓯越文化博物馆、民俗非遗展览馆、文学艺术创作基地、永嘉诗派摩崖石刻、影视拍摄基地、爱之岛五爱工程”等十大文化工程，使永嘉书院成为媲美中国传统四大书院，成为温州文化旅游的一张金名片。

“一线天”。我们从瀑布左侧“一线天”上去，也可以从瀑布右侧上去。踏着“一线天”里的台阶一直上去，上方是一个隧道，隧道里黑漆漆的，我们每个人都带有头灯呢（如果从瀑布右侧上去也是一个隧道，两侧都有隧道，估计景区开放后，一侧是进口，另一侧是出口吧）
