     As a saying goes, ‘A person with books is a real person alive’. Reading books is necessary for people, especially for us Grade 9 students. So I want to recommend my favourite book called The Old Man and the Sea to my classmates. It is about an old fisherman who spends 3 days and 3 nights chasing a giant fish and finally succeeds. We can learn a lot from it. For example, ‘Man is not made for defeat. 人不是生来被打败的’ In other words, if we try our best to study well, we will achieve our goal and enter the ideal schools. All in all, I believe this book will benefit my classmates a lot.

Up to now I have read lots of books. But one of the books that I like best is Harry Potter. I want to recommend it to my classmates. The book is written by J.K Rowling. Harry Potter series are read by millions of people all over the world. It describes a student named Harry Potter. He is a helpful and clever boy and he finds himself in many exciting adventures. He is brave enough to fight against powerful enemies. His scarf and magical stick brought us into a magical world. It shows us a truth: Nothing is impossible to a willing heart. I think it is the best book that I have ever read. So I want to recommend it to my classmates.
