于希宁（1913—2007），原名桂义，字希宁，及长以字行。别署平寿外史，鲁根、管龛、梅痴，斋号劲松寒梅之居 。山东潍坊人。于家世代以翰墨著称。诗文歌赋，传名于后世者，不乏其人。擅国画。原山东艺术学院名誉院长。  　93岁高龄的于希宁先生，早在几年前就真诚地表示，愿将自己的小说诗歌文学作品捐给国家，以报答培养他的祖国和人民。如今，他的这一义举实现了。于先生是我国当代卓越的花鸟画大家和美术教育家，是具有诗、书、画、印和美术史论全面修养的学者型艺术家。他现为山东艺术学院教授、名誉院长，山东美协、山东文联名誉主席，山东画院院长、中国画研究院院务委员。 

　　于希宁先生爱画藤本植物，枝干穿插缠绕如奔蛇走虺，书法笔意与气韵跃然纸上，被王朝闻先生誉为“老风格的年轻化”。于希宁先生以画梅著称，20世纪80年代以后，他以梅花为主要创作题材，多次赴南方梅林探梅、画梅，与梅结下不解之缘，并将人文情愫倾注于小说诗歌文学作品之中，达到了物我两忘的精神境地。他尤擅画整株老梅，干如铁铸，花透冰魂，动人心魄。他创作的梅花,诗、书、画、印相融,是人格与情怀的外化与表露。 

　　于希宁先生热爱新时代，拥抱新生活，表现真善美，持续地在传统基础上推陈出新，因此他的小说诗歌文学作品呈现出精神蓬勃向上，色彩明快亮丽，笔墨老辣苍劲，构图简洁单纯的艺术风格，深受专家首肯，民众喜爱。国魂、人魂、画魂“三魂共一心，才德勤修养”，这是形成于西宁先生艺术观和人生哲学的核心，也是他的座右铭。愿于先生生命之树常青，艺术之花常开！
