  张朋 （1918——2009），字锡百，山东高密人，自幼受家庭薰陶，酷爱绘画及书法。中国美术家协会会员、山东纺织工学院教授、青岛画院副院长、青岛画院名誉院长，与黄秋园、陈子庄、陶博吾并称为“在野派四大家”，他又被评论界称为“二十世纪末最后一位中国画大师”而饮誉画坛 ，终成一代画坛精神领袖。

    他的画，或花卉、或翎毛、或动物、或山水、或人物，无不得其生动，多其朴拙，皆各有特色。张氏每作一画，几乎皆极其用心，画面造型力求简洁传神，一笔不多，一笔不少，超凡脱俗，满纸生气，给人耐得品嚼。有论者评述张氏画作“得白石形神似与不似者，张朋是一人”，这话实不为过。张朋一生平实质朴，感情真挚，专注绘事，自甘清寂，终名重天下。
