吴氏宗祠，建于明英宗天顺二年（1462），占地十亩，明嘉靖国师吴大田仿皇宫式样，内有金阶丹墀，有宋清年代墓志铭一块。广场有古井，正门前上方悬挂“吴氏世居”系明探花郎朱迷祚手书，正厅后堂悬挂“黉宫师表”系明代国师吴大田门第。列入莆田市名祠。
    与我过去所见大部分的南方祠堂不一样，吴氏祠堂只有一座房屋，但是有前庭，中庭，后庭，照壁，庞大的围墙，以及广场。
