亲子鉴定呈逐年增加，有人说亲子鉴定增多折射出了夫妻信任危机。实际上鉴定结果证明，绝大部分鉴定者的猜疑是庸人自扰，反而成为家庭危机的导火索。

要求进行亲子鉴定的，主要有三类人群，一是家庭出现危机、夫妻感情不和等的家庭；二是单亲鉴定的，即主要因男方怀疑单独带着孩子前来鉴定的；还有一类是移民，按照国家相关规定在内地结婚生子，必须做亲子鉴定。
