我会随时带上两本书，给无聊的BenBen打发时间，有时也是为了转移娃的注意力，防止他哭闹。我一般都选择文字少，图画鲜艳，简单易懂和不易损坏的书籍，这样小朋友才会马上提起兴致来翻看。以下两本书是我这段时间外出时经常放在妈妈包里的：My First Picture Word Book-on Holiday 和 at Work。这两本书都是在慈善店给娃买的，折合人民币30元。这个系列本来还有其他两本的（at home 和 out and about),可是去了几次都没有碰到，也就作罢了。不过，BenBen对于这两本书也是喜爱有加。在座公交车的时候，小家伙一边指着书，让我说出他指出的小轿车，消防车，大象，小兔子，一边指着窗外来往的车来印证。总之，坐公交车短短十几分钟，小家伙可高兴了。看书的乐趣，不要局限在特定时间段和地点。只要小家伙有需要，作为妈妈的我会尽量满足小屁孩的要求。希望你爱护书，喜欢读书。让书籍陪着你一路走来。好吗，我的宝贝。

这两本书超级适用，和小朋友们的生活也密切相关。所以特此推荐给爱书的妈咪们。春天到了，天气转好了，妈妈爸爸们也肯定在酝酿着准备带娃出门旅游吧，看看Cherry一家做了什么准备，你们也可以做个参照哦。



"I must wash,iron and pack all our holiday clothes,"said Mrs Cherry.
"I shall have to find our passports and get lots of foreign money from the bank,"Mr Cherry said.
Susie said,"I am going to make up a first aid kit."
"These are all the things I need," laughed Tom.



"we'll pack the case!"cried Susie and Tom
"I'll ring Grandpa and Grandma and ask them to look after Monty," suggested Dad.
"come on," said Mum."First I need to buy lots of new clothes!"
When the Cherry family decided to go on a holiday Dad said,"Let's visit the travel agent,"
"I can show you some holidays on the computer."said the lady at the desk.
"If we are going on holiday for two weeks, we will need some new luggage!" said Mum.



Each member of the family got lots of brochures on where they would like to go.
"Let's go on safari."cried Tom,"and see all the wild animals."



"I have always wanted to learn to ski,"said Mum
"We could go on holiday in the snowy mountains.that would be great fun!"



"we could all have a wonderful time living in tents. we could cook outdoors and sail our rubber dingy,"laughed Susie. "its a camping holiday for me!"



"I would like to relax the minute my holiday Begins!" said Dad.
"How about a coach tour through different countries?"



At last the Cherry family agreed on a holiday in the sun.
On the morning of the holiday Grandpa and Grandma came round very early to collect Monty the dog as he was having his holiday with them.
Soon a taxi arrived to take the family to the station.
"I've never been in a train before!"Said Tom.
"Neither have I!"laughed Susie.
"Wait until you see the airport,"smiled Dad.



The airport was huge and extremely busy. Tom and Susie were very excited.
First their luggage was weihed and their tickets checked at the dest.
After the security check Tom said he was hungry.
"Don't worry,"laughed Mum, "the air hostess will bring you lunch on the plane."



The Cherry family arrived at their hotel later in the day.
The sea was warm and a beautiful blue. The sun was very hot and everyone had a buy a shady hat.
Tom and Susie couldn't wait to dive into the swimming pool while Mum and Dad sat happily in the sun.



While Tom and Susie were away on holidy, Monty was having a wonderful time staying with Grandma and Grandpa.
One day they took him to vist the harbour. Monty was very excited by all the strange sights and smells. He watched the fishermen unloading theri catch of fish, and he saw a very big ship getting ready to sail to a faraway place. He barked at a seagull and nearly fell into the water. Luckily for Monty, Grandpa wa holding tightly onto his lead!



The Cherry family got back home safely from their holiday abroad. When they heard about Monty's exciting day out, Tom and Susie said they would like to take Monty to the seaside.
"Right!"said Grandpa.
"Tomorrow is the last day of the school holiday.We will all go to the eas and Monty can show you where he went."
The next day the whole family packed a picnic and had a wonderful day out.

记得我小的时候总会被问到：“你长大了想做什么呢？”“我想当老师”（这是我那时的回答）。那时候，大部分的小朋友好像都梦想着做一名老师。那如今的小朋友呢？今天我们跟着Melanie, Sidney, Coral and Chloe, Jake,Fiona, Donald, Alice and Dickie一起先了解一下各式各样的工作吧。





Melanie, Sidney, Coral and Chloe, Jake,Fiona, Donald, Alice and Dickie are a group of friends who set out to find out about other people's jobs.
Look at the clothes the people are wearing in the picture below. Can you guess whtat job each person does? Then try to find them in the book.



Melanie went to visit a farm. First she fed the chickens, then she fed the pigs.
Next she watched the farmer milk the cows and afterwards she had a ride on the tractor.
But best of all the farmer's daughter let Melanie ride her pony.



Sidney's bike needed fixing."I'll go to the garage and see my friend Mick the mechanic and he will tell me all about his job."
Mick was busy tring to fix a car engine. He was using all sorts of tolls and showed Sidney what each one was for. He let Sydney look around the garage and then mended his bike.



As the circus was in town, Coral and Chloes thought they would find out about all the jobs in teh big top.
They watched the trapeze artist flying high above the ring, and the bareback rider as she balanced on her beautiful pony.
Two funny clowns let Coral and Chole help in their act-and even wear their baggy trousers.



Every day on the way to school Jake passed a busy building site. The big heavy machines that worked there made lots of noise and dust!
The foreman gave Jake a yellow hard hat and took him round the site.
He told jake that he must never play on a building site or look around on his own-as it is very, very dangerous!



Fiona liked toing to the dentist.When her examination was finished she asked the dentist how she looked after people's teeth.
Fiona wanted to be a doctor like her mum, so she often went into her surgery to watch as she got on with her work.
Sometimes, Fiona went to hospital with her mum, so she was able to talk to the nurses and see hwo they took care of the patients.



Donald love all kinds of sports, so he spent his day at the sports centre trying out the equipment.
He was quite good at basketball, excelent ant tennis-but poor Donald was no good at judo!



Alice went to see a play.After the performane she went backstage.
"I'd love to be on the stage!"said Alice standing in the potlight."shall I be a dancer or a singer, I really can't decide."
Then Alice heard the orchestra playin gand listened to the audience clapping.



Dickie visited the fire station,and while he was there, the fire bell rang.
In no time at all, the fire crews jumped onto their fire engines and rushed to the fire, lights flashing and sirens wailing.
"I'd love to be a fireman, "gasped Dickie, "it's so exciting!"
"False alarm!" the fire Chief yelled. "It's only a barbecue!"
If you have an accident at sea, the lifeboat will be launched and the brave crew will come to the rescue.
Sometimes they need to call in teh helicopter to lift you to safety.

Dickie's uncle is a security guard in big store at night. Here he is with his fierce guard dog!



Melanie, Sidney, Carol and Chloe, jake ,Fiona, Donald, Alice and Dickie had a great time finding out about other people's jobs.
"Would any of you like to be a teacher?"aksed Miss Tracey.
"On no!" they shouted all together.
.....but some of them thought they would like to be dinner ladies, and give the children great,big dinners!
