    亲爱的佳荫，这一年你长得好快啊，一眨眼就长成大姑娘了。我知道你特别喜欢读书，一两天就可以读完一本Magic Tree House。速算也越做越快了，小组里你总是第一个答完所有的题，圣诞爷爷真为你感到骄傲。我还知道你都会写英文童话了，而且准备要写一个系列。听说你的第二篇，要写小潘朵和我的故事，我太期待读到了。我会在北极的家里，泡一杯热巧克力奶，坐在暖暖的沙发里，读你的新故事噢！

    我知道你特别喜欢跳芭蕾舞，每个星期四都是你最快乐的时间。明年你就可以参加“胡桃夹子”的选拔了，圣诞爷爷祝你可以顺利当选。弹钢琴你又有很大进步。你知道吗，我和我的小矮人们干活累了，也会去听一首你弹的“致爱丽斯”呢！今年秋天你还开始学唱歌了，老师夸你的嗓子特别甜美，说你什么歌都可以唱，我也是这么觉得。好好学，明年我就可以听到你唱的圣诞歌啦！

    亲爱的佳荫，你一定会问：圣诞老爷爷，你为什么要用中文给我写信呢？因为我知道你正在努力地学习中文呢！我也在学中文，因为中国的小朋友也给我写了很多信，我要给他们送礼物和写回信。咱们一起努力吧。明年我希望看到你写给我的中文信，相信会和英文信一样棒！

    圣诞爷爷对你还有一个希望，希望佳荫每一顿饭，都可以象今天中午吃馄饨一样，又快又多。如果你做到了，圣诞爷爷明年会给你更好的礼物噢！

    告诉你一个秘密，只有咱俩知道哦，小朋友都住在我的心里，所以只要我想到谁，我就可以看到他，听到他。是不是很神奇呢？我相信，我也住在佳荫的心里，你想到我，也可以看到我，听到我。

  I am very happy to receive the letter and the gifts from you!

  The first gift is Slushy Magic.I will promise to use it next summer.The second gift is the ballet outfit for my American girl.It is better than the ring set!The third gift is the skittles.Why did you give me the skittles?Is it because I wished for a third gift before,but I ereased it later,so that is my third gift?Or,is it because my mom and dad are so sad that they can't get a gift from you,so that is for us to share?

  I have some promises for you.I will eat my food very fast and learn my knowledge very hard.

  Dear Santa,let me tell you something.My friend Cheng Zhi doesn't believe in you very much.He read a book that said Santa was just a silly lie.Can you write him a letter so he can believe in you just like me?My cousin Jiayi dose not belive in you very much either.Can you give her a gift because she had never received a gift from you?

  From your letter I can tell that you love hot chocolate.Is it because North Pole is very cold?I love hot chocolate too.It is because Chicago is very cold in winter.I will send you a hot chocolate cup as your Christmas gift.I will put it under my Christmas tree next year.Don't forget to take it!

  I can't believe my eyes when I saw that you wrote the letter in Chinese. Your Chinese is way better than mine.I will work hard and try to reach your level.

  I have so many questions for you.They are:1.Do you put marshmallows in the hot chocolate? 2.How can you travel all around the world in no time? 3.Can you give me your address?My dad said one day he will bring me to North Pole.But I heard that your house was invisible.How can I find it? 4.How can you see and hear somebody just by thinking about him or her? 5.How can you know a lot about me?Is it because you think about me a lot? 6.Do you go to naughty kids' house and only give them a card,or do you give them nothing and just look at them? 7.Since there is no chimney,which window did you come in from? 8.Where did the elves come from?How many elves do you have?
