Unit 4   Planting trees is good for us

 

教学目标

语言功能：能用“be good for...”告知他人种树的好处；能用“I enjoy doing  sth… or I like to do sth…”告知他人自己喜欢种树的意愿；能用“trees can keep...”表达种树的好处。

语言结构：We enjoy planting trees. It is good for us.       

          Trees can keep us cool 

Trees can keep the air clean

词    汇：掌握tree planting day， air， place plant trees ，keep the air clean，keep us cool，make the place beautiful,        

理    解： cut down, to grow rice, getting hotter, cool and fresh

语    法：句型 “I enjoy doing  sth or I like to do sth..”告知他人自己喜欢种树的意愿；能用“trees can keep...”表达种树的好处。

 

第一课时(新授课)

 

教学目标：

1．能听懂、会说、认读新单词 tree planting day， air， place, plant trees ，keep the air clean，keep us cool，make the place beautiful 

2．能听懂、理解A部分的故事。

3． 能用“be good for...”告知他人种树的好处；能用“I enjoy doing  sth or I like to do sth..”告知他人自己喜欢种树的意愿；能用“trees can keep...”表达种树的好处。

教学重难点：

重点：能听懂、会说、认读新单词tree planting day， air， place；能听懂、会说词组plant trees ，keep the air clean，keep us cool，make the place beautiful。

难点：make the place beautiful 的发音

教学准备：

单词卡片，教学磁带，多媒体课件。

教法、学法：

        讲授，游戏，情境创设，小组讨论等。

教学过程 ：

Step One   Warming up

1．Have a greeting.

2．Sing a song—This is the Way.

3．游戏复习单词。（Magic eyes and What’s missing）

Step Two    Presentation and drill

1.情景导入，教学新单词tree planting day

T：There are so many festivals in china? One day we should plant more trees. Guess! Is it tree planting day?

S：Yes ,it is tree planting day. 

T：Tree planting day(板书，带读）

2.教学句型“We enjoy ....”和核心词汇trees can keep the air clean，keep us cool， make the place beautiful 

T：We enjoy planting trees. It is good for us. We also enjoy doing sth else

S：We enjoy playing games 

T：We enjoy reading books（板书we enjoy doing sth)

T：Trees can keep us cool 

S：Trees can keep the air clean 

 T：Trees can make the place beautiful(板书make，place；带读单词）

3.创设情境： 

 教师用课件呈现planting trees的场景，引导学生用what，why，how等疑问词造句，对planting trees提问。 

T：It is a planting day，why should we plant trees?

4. 词汇操练。Word puzzle

       教师出示新单词，让学生大声朗读单词。

Step Three   Fast and intensive reading

      Text Part A

1． 播放教学光碟快速阅读A部分，回答问题。

1）Why do we plant trees ?

2）Whatcan tree do?

2． 听录音，模仿语音，语调，掌握新词难句的读音。

3． 精读课文，帮助学生理解大意。

4． 辅导学生完成C部分的操练(practice)。（展示多媒体课件）

Game：planting trees can......   

教师按照planting trees can..... 将新短句的图片快速播放出来，全班分两组进行抢答。每说出一个句子，该组获一分，说错不计分。计时一分钟，多分者获胜。

教师可适当总结（穿插德育教育），告诉学生要保护树木，保护环境。

Step Four   Consolidation

1． 创设情景：日常生活中我们应该怎样做，要求运用We should……

2． 根据学生的表演情况，并给予评价。

作业布置：

家庭作业。1）听磁带，背课文。

第二课时(新授课)

 

教学目标 ：

1. 理解并运用重点句型“be good for...”告知他人种树的好处；能用“I enjoy doing  sth… or I like to do sth…”告知他人自己喜欢种树  的意愿；能用“trees can keep...”进行操练。

2. 能巩固、运用新单词和短句plant trees, keep the air clean, keep us  cool, make the place beautiful；planting more trees, air, place.

3.能在语境中灵活运用新句型“trees can keep..”谈论保护树木会有什么好处.

4． 能理解课文D部分的短文和 E部分的练习。

教学重、难点：

重点：能运用合适的阅读技巧进行阅读, 理解D部分中的短语cut down, to grow rice, getting hotter, cool and fresh；能根据短文内容回答问题并正确写出答案

难点：能在语境中灵活运用新句型“trees can keep..”谈论保护树木的话题.

教学准备：

单词卡片，教学磁带，多媒体课件。

教法、学法：

        讲授，游戏，情景创设，小组讨论等。

教学过程 ：

  1. 播放教学光碟，学生听。

  2. Read and find     快速阅读，圈出文中人物。    

3. Read and answer   再次快速阅读文章，回答问题：   

(1)Why do people cut down trees?    

(2)When people cut down trees what happened?   

(3)What can we do?   

 4.Read and judge   仔细阅读课文，判断句子的对错,最后完成D部分书面练习。

Step Three   Practice

课文E部分

   1. Survey    name   Why do people cut down trees?

Why should we plant more trees?

      学生以组为单位调查同学或家长，填上名字后在相应的答题框中书写。

 2.Presentation  小组代表汇报调查结果 

3. 完成E部分填空 ,学生独自完成E部分练习. 老师检查作业情况.

课文Part F：Let’s have fun

  1.学生分享上次作业收集到的图片，贴到黑板上 

  2.根据图片把填空填写完成

个别学生表演，并及时给予评价。

Step Four   Consolidation

1．创设情景，自由会话。

    教师用课件呈现一个图片场景，显示低矮的房屋旁边是密密丛丛的美丽树林，请学生谈论此时的生活环境。

   T:So, the village is very beautiful at this time. look athis picture. What can you see?

2．评价。对学生的表现给予肯定和鼓励，激发学生的求知欲，提高学生的学习能力。

作业布置：

1.     课堂作业：抄写单词和句子

    A:  Why do we plant trees ?      

B:  Trees can   keep us cool 

                  keep the air clean

2.     家庭作业。

1)听磁带，背课文。

2)做一做：制作一张海报，为保护树木宣传，在标语中用上keep and make.
