Among the writers I have met, no one has ever described loneliness as charming as McCullers. I am not sad for her works, and in my opinion, McCullers himself has no such intention to the reader. Unlike the loneliness of the children, McCullers' loneliness is huge, precisely because it is so great that sometimes it makes people more calm.
