A woman saw three old man sitting in
her front yard. She said, "I don't think I know you. But you must
be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat". "We do not go
into a house together".they replied. "Why is that?" she wanted to
know. One of the old men explained, "His name is Wealth, this one
is Success, I am Love". Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with
your husband which one of us you want in your home. The woman went
in and told her husband what was said. Her husband said, "Let's
invite Wealth, let him come and fill our home with wealth". His
wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?" Then the
daughter made a suggestion, "Would it be better to invite Love? Our
home will then be filled with love". "Let's take our daughter's
advice".Said the father. So the woman went out and asked, "which
one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest". Love got up
and started walking towards the house. The other two also got up
and followed him. Suprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success, "I
only invited Love, why are you coming in?" The old men replied
together, "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of
us would have stay out. But since you invite Love, wherever he
goes, we go with him.wherever there is Love, there's also Wealth
and Success".

During the American Civial War a young man named Roswell McIntyre was sent into battle with very little training.Roswell became frightened. He panicked and ran. He was caught. The army decided to shoot him for running away. Roswell's mother turned to President Lincoln. She said that he was young and inexperienced and he needed a second chance.The generals, however, urged the president to enforce discipline.Exceptions, they said, would upset the discipline of army.Lincoln thought and then he wrote a famous statement. "I have observed", he said, "that it never does a boy much good to shoot him". He wrote this letter in his handwriting. This letter will certify Roswell is to be readmitted into the army. When he serves well, he will be free of any charges of running away. That faded letter, signed by the president, is on display in the Library of Congress. Beside it there is a note which reads, "This letter was taken from the body of Roswell McIntyre, who died in the battle of Virginia". Given another change, Roswell fought untill the end.
