清水寺外面的二年坂、三年坂是具有京都独特风情的坡道，这两处坡道被列入了日本“重要传统的建造物群保护地区”。石坂两侧充满古老风韵的日式建筑，有许多和风浓郁的土特产商店可以逛，还不时可以遇见穿着传统服饰的姑娘迎面走过。 

    三年坂因为经常有产妇为了去清水寺祈求顺利生产，所以也被人们叫做安产坂。青石小路，沿街的木板黑瓦小屋、抬头即见的古塔，构成了一副完整的日式建筑群落。沿街坐落着各色茶室与小吃店散发着浓重的商业氛围。
