我对土库曼斯坦有多少了解？直至昨日我也是对之了解甚少。事实上，我是出了名的地理菜鸟，对于地理我是一无所知。“土库曼斯坦，可能在中亚地区吧”，这曾是我对于这个国家的了解的全部。

 

    但是现在可完全不一样了！

What did I knew about Turkmenistan? Until yesterday not a whole lot. In fact, as geography is notoriously a topic I am appallingly bad at, I knew practically nothing at all. "Might have been in Central Asia" would have been the total sum of my knowledge on the matter. 

Not anymore!

土库曼斯坦坐落在亚洲中部，它拥有着数不清的雕塑……这是他们的前任独裁者，这个精神错乱的自大狂，也是号称“土库曼斯坦之父”的土库曼斯坦人民的领袖遗留的产物。他曾经发表过一本成为土库曼斯坦五百万居民的知识的强制来源的著作，而这些雕塑成为了在这本书之上的雅致译文。

我想我个人最喜欢是这一座雕像：

Turkmenistan is a tiny country in the middle of nowhere Central Asia with a fantastic collection of crazy sculptures... The legacy of their former dictator, a deranged megalomaniac who answered to the sweet name "Turkmenbashi" leader of Turkmen people. Above a very tasteful rendition of THE book. An Opus he wrote which became mandatory source of all knowledge for his 5 millions countrymen.

一座转向太阳的“土库曼斯坦之父”金色雕像！我太爱了！

我为何突然对土库曼这片土地感兴趣？昨天我在北京的俄罗斯市场遇到了很多穿着异域且标致的Belle du Jour。

A gold statue of Turkmenbashi himself that ROTATES to follow the sun! Gotta love that!

So why the suddent interest in the land of the Turkmen? Well, yesterday in Beijing Russian Market, I bumped into a busload of strangely identically dressed lovely Belles du Jour.

魅力非凡，她们的装扮大同小异，像是来自另一时空的另类时尚宗派。她们所有人都梳着高高的可爱发髻，身着长裙，甜美至极。

Super charming, they all wore more or less the same outfit, like some strange, fashionable sect from another time. They all wore their hair in lovely high "chignon", had long dresses and were super sweet.

她们既不说英语，也不说中文，只会说俄语，但是我还是听懂了一个单词：土库曼斯坦。

They did not speak english, nor chinese, only russian, but I did get one word: TURKMENISTAN.

我向来都是先征得允许才拍照的，可惜的是她们很多人不愿意被拍……所以这是我仅有的照片，我认为她们非常俏丽，我喜欢她们带有刺绣的着装风格，也喜欢她们高高的发髻。就是这样单纯的甜美，不是吗？

Sadly many did not wish to be photographed and I always ask permission... so here we are. I thought they were lovely and I like their style with the embroideries and the high hair. Just sweet no?

昨天，是我对大门深锁的土库曼斯坦的一次快速探寻之旅。

给我最后一次给大家展示土库曼斯坦魅力的机会？这是苏维埃在寻找天然气时挖的深坑，几小时之后会按计划地燃烧殆尽。但是天然气燃烧了整整35年。这个照片的名字很是有趣贴切。

One last attraction in Turkmenistan? This is a hole made by the soviets looking for gaz. It was meant to burn off in a few hours. The gaz has been burning for 35 years. The name of this charming point of interest?
