这道题我目前找到了两个版本，虽然只有很小的差异（“the best source of power" "a better choice"）个人感觉写起来还是有不同的。当然，如果你对核能前景看好，认定其确实优点诸多，同意题目观点。那么最好和更好差别不大。

题目分析：看到这道题的关键词nuclear energy，我想很多平时阅读量不大的烤鸭童鞋估计要悲剧了。也怪不了大家，在国内如果不是大学学工科的，一般人还真是对这个领域涉猎甚少。但是在西方国家，这些科普知识确是小学课本里的内容。雅思写作考试话题范围之广，大家也是有所领略了。所以，平时广泛阅读还是很有必要。

Version1: Nuclear energy is the best source of power in meeting ever-increasing global energy needs.To what extent do you agree or disagree? 

With the rapid development of modern world, governments around the world are faced with varying degrees of energy shortage problems.Therefore, both emerging regions and developed countries are doing their utmost to meet this great energy challenge.

Nuclear power, as a clean source of energy, has recently gained tremendous popularity among countries who are in urgent need of energy resources.  Proponents like Environmentalists for Nuclear Energy consider it a safe and environmentally friendly energy source since it does not emit carbon dioxide and other equivalent greenhouse gases,which would have otherwise resulted from the burning of fossil fuels in thermal power stations. Besides,with features such as compact in size and lower proportion of fuel cost in its composition, it is not only easy to store and transport, but also less affected by the international economic situations.

However,ongoing debate about this new energy never ceases and opponents claim that nuclear power poses many threats to people and the environment. The major concern is that nuclear power plants can produce waste radioactive which is detrimental to people's health and those meltdowns can take decades to clean up. Therefore plans to build nuclear plants easily stir opposition and dissatisfaction from public who often have little knowledge of the influence of radioactive substances and fear and panic are often unavoidable once the radioactive leakage of accidents occur. Another obstacle in promoting this new source of energy should be economic factor, as investment in nuclear power plants require enormous money, making the construction of such plants unaffordable for many underdeveloped regions.

In conclusion, facing the severe shortage of energy supply, more efficient , safer and environmentally friendly sources of power like nuclear energy might be a better alternative to meet this ever-increasing global energy demand, but we should be aware that energy saving is also of great importance in keeping a sustainable development of world.
