古柏林宝石实验室是目前世界上彩色宝石鉴定最权威的机构，其价格自然也是及其高昂的。该团队由来自七个不同国家的高素质和丰富经验的人员组成，他们讲九种不同的语言，但是他们共同的语言之一就是不能忘记宝石学。每个成员在他或她的工作领域都受过专门的训练，如宝石学，设备的操作和分析 ，甚至宝石摄影。每个宝石专家都在具有一定地球科学知识的基础上（地质学，矿物学，结晶学，地理学等）辅之以一定程度的宝石学。

瑞士珠宝研究院，全称Swiss Gemmological Institute，简称SSEF，是目前珍珠拍卖中普遍使用的鉴定机构，提供包括海水或淡水珍珠、天然或养殖珍珠、无核或有核养殖珍珠、是否经处理、珍珠的重量、尺寸等方面的鉴定。

GRS是瑞士籍宝石学博士Dr. A. Peretti创办的宝石鉴定机构。可独立出具检测报告。主要为世界主要名贵宝石做检测，如红宝石，蓝宝石，祖母绿和金绿猫眼。全名GEMRESEARCH SWISSLAB AG。除瑞士外，GRS在斯里兰卡和泰国，中国香港，都设有办事处。接受宝石的鉴定。

AIGS(泰国曼谷亚洲宝石科学院)

AIGS是亚洲宝石学院的简称，全称为Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences ，于1978年在泰国曼谷成立，是东南亚第一家珠宝学教育机构。学院在宝石研究，宝石开采，利用的方面取得了令人瞩目的成绩，为亚洲的珠宝业发展起到了促进作用。

斯里兰卡EGL是斯里兰卡的一位叫做Harris的先生开具的证书，他是在英国宝石协会和宝石检测实验室(FGA) 的注册鉴定师。他的证书对于红蓝宝石可以开出是否是烧过的，产地等信息。

LOTUS（莲花证书）
