外研版七年级英语上册Modul3My school   Unit2 说课稿

 Lesson plan presentation

Good morning, everyone. I’m 。。。. I’m an English teacher from 。。。Middle School. I am very glad to be here to talk about my teaching ideas. Today I’ll say Unit 2 of Module3 in Book One. This part is the most important in this module. I’ll prepare to say the lesson from five parts.

Part one. analysis of teaching material

 1.status and function

This is an important module. This module is mainly around "school" this topic .We’ll study“ there be ”structure. Let students use English to describe their school, through teaching enables students to communicate with others, learn to use English to express their thoughts and ideas. This unit is the second unit of the module. We’ll learn vocabularies related to school and three main prepositions.

2. teaching aims

My teaching aims include the following parts:

First, Aims of the knowledge:

A) master the words: gym, library, science, lab, office, dining hall,

B) learn to use  prepositions: behind, in front of, next to

C)  master the sentence pattern:

Is/Are there... .?

Yes, there is/are.

No, there isn 't/aren' t.

Where is... .. ?

Second, aims of ability: students are required to understand the school to introduce brief conversation and reading . The students can write an essay about school using “there be”.  They can introduce their own class and the school using “there be”, write a brief introduction to the classroom and school.

Third, aims of the emotion: to cultivate students love school, love his own home

Fourth,teaching important points:

Using prepositions correctly, behind, in front of, next to and using “there be” structure to describe pictures of places.

Fifth, teaching difficult points: how to use the language to introduce their school

Part 2. analysis of the students

Because of various reasons, the students have individual differences in English learning in our school. From the countryside elementary school students have learned English, but they don’t study well. While the students from urban areas have good English basis. So we should strike a balance between them. In this way , different levels of students can find a sense of accomplishment.

Part 3  Teaching methods

English is a communication tool, is to make the students use the language to communicate with people. In this lesson, my teaching methods include the task-based teaching methods, intuitive demonstration methods, communicative teaching methods and audio-visual teaching methods.

Part 4.teaching aids

Multi-media , tape recorder, school things and so on. They will be needed in this lesson.

Part5, the teaching procedures

There are six steps in my teaching procedure. In this lesson , I pay attention to stress the key points, break through the difficulties, arouse the enthusiasm of students. Before teaching, I’ll divide the whole class into 4 groups to do competitions while finishing different tasks in this lesson.

Step Ⅰ.Warming up

Use multimedia in a few minutes before class , play the song "Where is my t-shirt?

Purpose:  inspire students' interest in learning, to mobilize the students' study enthusiasm, make it into the best state.

Step 2, Leading - in: (2-3 minutes)

use large screen to show a picture of a library, which leads to today's topic. Talk about our library. Do you like reading?  Where do you usually read?

Step 3, teach new lesson (35 minutes)

1.presentation:

 (1)show the picture of a library, teach new words, dining hall, office, gym, science lab and so on .

(2) do a guessing game

Look at the pictures and guess the words.

Purpose: through guessing, to arouse students learing interest,and help them to learn the new words which they may come across while reading.

(3) Match the pictures with the places.

(4)Study the use of prepositions and then show examples to let the students make up sentences according to the pictures .

Teachers' demonstration:

The gym is behind the science lab.

The offices are next to the science lab.

The classrooms are next to the offices.

The library is in front of the classrooms.

The dining hall is next to the library

2.Reading

(1)Listen first and then read the passage.

(2) show pictures   Write Betty’s classmates’ names on their desks.

(3) Practice

According to the location of the classmate of everyone in the classroom, students imitate the example above sentence words.

3.While-reading

Use a screen to shows a map of campus simulation.

First reading:

Students read the article as quickly as they can and try to get the general idea.

Second reading:

Students read the article more carefully , and then discuss with their partners.

explain some important phrases.

Purpose: develop students reading ability. Skimming for the main idea of the article, and scanning for the specific information. And then get a deep understanding of the article.

Step 4, Briefly summary, (2 minutes)

Briefly summary can put the knowledge taught in the classroom as soon as possible into the students’ quality; it can make the students understand the importance of daily life.

Step 5 Prictice

Purpose: according to practice, let students grasp today’s language points.

Step 6 Homework (2 minutes)

(1)Recite the words as many as possible after class.

(2) Preview the next lesson

Step 7  Blackboard design

         Unit2 The library is on the left of the playground.

Conclusion:

To be a good teacher is my dream. I think a teacher is not only a guide for the students but also a friend of them .  I help them not only on their study, but also on their life.  I will try my best to become a qualified English teacher.
