腰铃泡位于大庆市杜尔伯特蒙古族自治县烟筒屯镇境内，由于地势低平，小兴安岭流下来的乌裕尔河和双阳河在这里滞留成湖。腰铃湖面积不大，水质洁净，水草丛生，周围长满了芦苇，是野生鱼类的理想产地。

冬捕当日，刚好是农历的腊八，空旷的湖面朔风凛冽，身上厚厚的棉衣几分钟就被吹透。冬捕的打渔人们只能临时在冰面上燃起篝火，抵御严寒。

据周树文厂长介绍说；因为养殖鱼类生性胆小，常常在苇塘中藏匿，易养难捕。所以今天这一网打了一万多斤，收获还是不错的。其中以十几斤重的草鱼和几两重的鲫鱼居多。另外，加上前一网的两万多斤，这些野生鱼都会成为春节市场的抢手货。
