❀   From瑜伽老师Ruth：Happy Monday to You,   Lo Han Guo is a dried fruit shaped like a jumbo egg, dark brown in color.  Crack it open, inside looks like a monster with seeds and pulp, not pretty looking but useful in traditional Chinese medicine.  It is 300 times sweeter than sugar, and is used as a natural low-calorie sweetener to treat diabetes.  My mother put a tiny piece in soup as a cooling ingredient.  Other people used it for heat stroke, sore throat, cough, and constipation.   I have a whole one and one that is opened.  I will bring them both on Wednesday to show how something so ugly could be so useful.  Hope you have time to join us for yoga.
