用times表倍数时，一般仅表示三倍或三倍以上的数（包括基数在内），表示两倍时，不可用two times，而要用twice。

(1)如果表示“甲比乙大（离、长、宽等）几倍”，我们常用下面这个句型：

    “A十be十基数词十times十bigger(or higher,taller，longer，wider，etc.)+than

+B”(例句略)

(2)如果表示“甲是乙的几倍大[高、长、宽等]”，我们常用下列两个句型

    ▲“A十be十基数词十times十as十big[or high，tall，long，wide．etc)+as+B”

▲“A十be十基数词十times十the size(or height，length，width,etc.)+of+B”

例如：

1.The red ball is three times as big as the yellow one.

2.Yours is ten times the size of mine.

3.what does the model plane look like?

有时候我们也可以用下面这个句型：

(3)在表示倍数的句型中，除了用比动词外还可以用实义动词，即用下列句型

    ▲“主语+do动词+基数词+times+形容词／副词比较级+than+其他”

    ▲“主语十do动词+基数词+times+as…as+其他”。如：

    He got four times more money than we did.
