Lesson 8 Canada

 

教学目标设计

1. 知识与技能目标：

  （1）学生能听懂、会说、认读并书写以下词汇：know, about, city

  （2）学生能认读、理解并运用下列句子：What do you know about…?

  （3）学生能介绍有关加拿大的基本信息，知道加拿大的重要景点，在地图上能够找到加拿大的位置。

2. 情感目标：

创设学习情境，激发学生学习的热情和兴趣，提高学生学习的积极性和主动性。

3. 文化意识：

1. 要求学生学会如何分享对世界的看法，并比较和对比中国与加拿大生活方面的不同。

2. 了解加拿大的文化，并和中国相比较，能简单描述中加文化差异。

教学策略及教法设计

这节英语课教学以学生为主体，以训练为主线，以能力的培养为宗旨。倡导积极与他人合作，共同完成学习任务，使学生在教师的指导下，处理遇到的问题，通过感知、实践、参与和合作等学习方法完成任务，感受成功。

教学过程：

Class Opening

1.  问候和自由交谈

T：Let’s begin our class !

S: Good morning teacher !

T:Good morning everyone! Sit down ,please !
(出示国家挂图）

T：Look at this picture ！Where do you live？
S1：I live in China.

T：What colour is China?

S2:It’s red!

T：What’s the capital city of China ?

S3:Beijing is the capital cit of China ?

T：What do we speak in China ?

S4:We speak Chinese in China?

T：Can you talk about China’s flag ?

S5:It’s red.It has five yellow stars.

New Concept

T:Do you know where Jenny and Danny live ?

Ss:Jenny and Danny live in Canada.

T:You are right, today Let’s learn about Canada !

1、学习新单词。

T:First let’s learn about the new words.

know   about    city      Ottawa    French  

know means 知道。

For example：I know you.

I know the good news.

Here’s a phrase about know :know about .It means 知道；了解。

For example：I know about your family .

             I know about your school very well .

             I know about China .

Now who can make a sentence with “know about”.

city means 城市

For example：Beijing is a big city. Shanghai is a big city,too.

2、跟读课文并回答问题。

T:Now open your books ,turn to page 22.let’s listen to the tape and then answer this question :

What is the capital city of Canada ?      

3. 阅读课文回答问题。 

 (1) What country is it?

 (2) Where do Jenny and Danny live?

 (3) What do they speak?

 (4) What colour is the map of Canada?

4. Read the text, fill in the blanks.
