Europe must 'boost demand' to revive economy, US warns

The US Treasury Secretary has urged eurozone countries to "boost demand" in order to reduce unemployment and avoid deflation.

Jack Lew was speaking at a meeting of the G20 group, which includes several of the world's largest economies.

Earlier this month, the European Central Bank introduced new measures to stimulate the area's flagging economy.

However it has stopped short of adopting the policies favoured by its US counterpart, the Federal Reserve.

美国财政部长杰克•卢(Jack Lew)敦促欧元区国家“扩大需求”以增加就业和避免通货紧缩。

杰克·卢在20国集团峰会（G20）上发表了以上言论，此次参会的还包括几个世界最大的经济体。

Asian shares slip, dollar pulls away from highs

(Reuters) - Asian shares skidded on Monday as investors awaited data this week that could provide more evidence of a slowdown in China, while the dollar gave back a little of its recent gains. 

China's flash manufacturing PMI reading on Tuesday could come in below the 50 level, indicating that manufacturing activity is contracting.

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan .MIAPJ0000PUS dropped 0.8 percent. Japan's Nikkei stock average .N225 fell 0.7 percent, after it marked its highest closing level since 2007 on Friday, and gained 2.3 percent for the week.

The dollar gave up 0.2 percent against a basket of major currencies to 84.600 .DXY, after the index posted its 10th consecutive week of gains on expectations that U.S. interest rates would rise more quickly than had been expected.

GlaxoSmithKline fined $490m by China for bribery

China has fined UK pharmaceuticals firm GlaxoSmithKline $490m (£297m) after a court found it guilty of bribery.

The record penalty follows allegations the drug giant paid out bribes to doctors and hospitals in order to have their products promoted. 

The court gave GSK's former head of Chinese operations, Mark Reilly, a suspended three-year prison sentence and he is set to be deported.

Other GSK executives have also been given suspended jail sentences.

中国法院判定英国制药公司葛兰素史克犯有受贿罪后，罚葛兰素史克公司4.9亿美元。

判处这笔创纪录的罚金之前，有人指控该公司为了推广其产品贿赂医生和医院。

法院判处葛兰素史克（中国）投资有限公司前总裁马克锐有期徒刑3年，并被驱逐出境。

路透香港9月22日 – 直接了解交易的知情人士周一表示，阿里巴巴(BABA.N: 行情)及其部分股东又卖出4,800万股，从而使其首次公开发行(IPO)规模达到250.3亿美元，成为全球最大规模IPO。

上周五首日上市时阿里巴巴股价飙升38%，投资者争相购买。

阿里巴巴和一些股东在上周的公开发行中最初卖出3.201亿股美国存托股份(ADS)，定价68美元。根据招股证明书，承销商拥有选择权，可发售更多来自阿里巴巴、雅虎(YHOO.O: 行情)和阿里巴巴创始人马云及Joe Tsai的股票。

消息人士拒绝透露身份，因超额配售细节尚未正式公布。阿里巴巴在香港的代表没有立即回复就超额配售置评的请求。

Siemens buys US oil and gas firm Dresser-Rand

西门子收购美国石油和天然气公司Dresser-Rand

Siemens is buying US firm Dresser-Rand in a $7.6bn (£4.6bn) deal which will help the German conglomerate boost its oil and gas business in North America.

The American firm makes oilfield equipment and, under the deal, it will become "the platform for oil and gas equipment solutions within Siemens".

Siemens is hopeful the transaction will be completed by next summer.

德国工业集团西门子(Siemens) 将以76亿美元收购美国油田设备制造商Dresser-Rand集团，此举将大大提振西门子在北美的油气业务。

美国公司Dresser-Rand是油田制造商，被收购后，它将成为“西门子拓展石油和天然气业务的平台”。

Tesco suspends execs as inquiry launched into profit overstatement

Tesco has suspended four executives, including its UK managing director, after the supermarket overstated its half-year profit guidance by £250m.

It has launched an investigation headed by Deloitte. The supermarket chain says it is now working to establish the impact of the issue on its full-year results.

Shares fell 10% in early trading.

乐购(Tesco PLC)公司上半年盈利被高估2.5亿英镑，受到调查后四位高管被暂停职位，其中包括乐购英国分部总经理。

Deloitte连锁店发起了这项调查。Deloitte称它正在尽全力确定这件事对公司全年业绩的影响。
