2015富力海口马拉松暨首届商学院马拉松赛于1月11日举行，本次赛事设置了全程、半程、迷你马拉松、家庭乐跑等项目，参赛人数也创下海口地区马拉松赛事的记录，赛道安排极尽奢华，涵盖滨海大道、海甸岛环岛路等景观大道，沿途风光旖旎，椰林婆娑、海风习习，北方选手直呼过瘾。当然，也有人感到不爽，由于赛事规模空前，封路时间也较长，令本来就小气的椰城交通陷入严重拥堵状况，引发部分市民强烈不满。不管怎么说，城市马拉松是一项非常好的运动，有助于提升海口的整体形象，群众也很喜欢，现场气氛很热烈，不少家长带着孩子参赛，选手当中夫妻、情侣也不少。
