名词的复数形式或所有格大多以-s/-es结尾，"is"或"has"在主语后经常缩写成's，构成动词的第三人称单数也需要在动词后加上-s/-es的后缀，这些发音会有几种情况，下面我们来看看具体情况是怎样的。
A.清辅音结尾的词后发音为/s/
1.Fire may have breached the cargo tanks and set the oil ablaze.
大火当时有可能把货船上的油罐烧漏了，从而引燃原油。
2.The chief's in his office.
老板在他办公室里。
3.She had a mouth's mind to Dick Frontless and thought to run away with him. 她念念不忘迪克弗龙特勒斯,并且想和他一起私奔。
4.The horse jumps nicely.
这匹马跳跃得很好。
B.浊辅音结尾的词后发音为/z/
1.His honesty shines out, when compared to his collegues.
与他的同事们相比,他特别诚实。
2.Tom's love affair with France and most things French knew no bounds.
汤姆对法国和大多数法国东西都无比热爱。
3.The autumn chrysanthemum braves the frost.
秋菊傲霜。
