你知道essay中，哪些词可以替代“good”“bad”么？

很多留学生会发现，“Good”和“Bad”是英语中常见的形容词，基本上每篇essay写作中都会用到。由于这两个词能表达的意思很多，已经到了滥用的地步。因此小编建议在essay写作时，选一些替换单词，会增加你的essay得分噢~毕竟essay写作最忌讳的就是全篇用单一句式单一词汇了。

Alternatives to ‘Good’

定义	例子	替换词

Very high quality	I had a good time at the Tower of London.	Brilliant, excellent, great, outstanding, superb

Morally good or agreeable	She is a good person.	Admirable, pleasant, respectable, virtuous

      “Good”有不同的含义，但在这里我们将重点放在形容词的使用上。不过就算只是形容词，good还是有多种不同的含义。

      ‘Bad’是‘good’在以上所有例子的反面。以下是它的常用定义。
      ‘Good’ and ‘Bad’ in Essays
      大家应该知道，“Good”和“Bad”这样的词在Esay中并不总是最好的选择。这些术语以及上面的替代词是表达了我们对某事的判断或感觉。但他们并没有提供很多有用的信息。
      例如，如果我们正在写一个关于unsuccessful business的case study，那么我们可能会想说，management team做出了‘several bad decisions’。但是，我们也需要解释为什么这些决定是“Bad”的（即它们的影响以及如何影响到了这个business）。
      除非我们这样写明，否则读者不会知道为什么我们认为他们是“Bad”的。所以虽然在学术写作中可以使用“good”和“bad”，但还是要附上解释。这同样适用于任何critical或者descriptive writing里面。
