【 摘
要】中国和西方国家的节日及其习俗有着比较明显的差异。本文充分利用研究性课程这个载体, 在英语教学中,
通过对中西方不同节日及其比较的研究, 探讨了中西“ 节日文化” 的英语教学策略, 旨在帮助学生提高鉴别、 鉴赏异国文化的能力,
加深对本国文化的理解和认识。
传统节日是各地区、 民族、 国家的政治、 经济、 文化、宗教等的总结和延伸, 它体现了不同国家与民族的文化习俗,
是一个民族生存形态最突出、
最具特色的展示。了解中西方传统节日文化及其差异对了解西方国家的传统价值观念和深层文化心理具有举足轻重的作用,
同时也可以提高学生对本国文化的敏感性, 培养学生的爱国主义情怀。
一、
渗透最具中华民族特色的节日文化春节, 俗称“ 过年” , 按照我国农历的说法是正月初一, 是“ 岁之元, 月之元, 时之元” ,
是一年的开始。 它寄托着中国人对幸福生活的祈求和向往。1. 利用图片引出节日名称2. 改编 JEFC Book3 中的对话,

挖掘英美典型节日文化的精髓万圣节(All Saints’Day), 又称 Halloween, 按照基督教的习惯, 每年的 11 月
1 日为万圣节, 是纪念所有圣徒的日子。 万圣节前夕便是万圣节的前一天, 即 10 月 31 日,
这是孩子们最喜爱的节日。通过万圣节等西方传统节日的教学, 教师可以使学生了解西方的文化习俗。1. 利用图片引出节日学习2. 观看

适时进行中西方节日文化的交融和对比中秋节 (Mid-autumn Festival)
和感恩节(ThanksgivingDay)分别是中国和美国重要的节日,两大节日都在秋天。 中秋节在农历八月十五。中秋之夜,人们赏月、
祭月、 吃月饼,表达了对大自然的感激之情, 寄托了人们对家庭团圆、
生活幸福的祈求与渴望。感恩节则是美国民间的传统节日。时间是每年11月的第四个星期四(the
4thThursdayinNovember)。
人们在天亮时鸣放礼炮,举行宗教仪式,虔诚地向上帝表示感谢,激励自己进一步创造更加幸福美好的生活。
