关于be late in、be late with和be late for的用法区别与例析

一、be late (in) doing sth 与 be late with (doing) sth　　
英语中be late (in) doing sth 与 be late with sth 
同义，表示“做某事做晚了或做迟了”，指比以往要迟或比通常的情况要迟。
如：　　
He was late (in) getting up this morning.
今天早上他起床起得迟。　　
The BBC are not often late with the news. 
英国广播公司通常能及时播报新闻。　　
There is a charge of ￡50 if you are over a week late with your payment. 
如果你的付款拖延超过一周就要多付50英镑。

二、be late for sth　　
be later forsth 表示“做……迟到”，即迟于预定的时间或迟于规定时间。
