磨脐山位于青州城南，花林疃村附近，根据1991年出版的《青州地名志》记载，其海拔430米。整个山势西北东南走向，有东南北中四个山峰，因其北面主峰上面有一方形的突起，远看如磨脐得名。而整个山的形状从远处看又像一个巨大的磨盘，所以俗称磨盘山。它位于云门山的东南，劈山的东北方向，因为云门山山势走向自东向西连绵起伏，两边山峰对称，形状如翅，中间呈凸状，如纱帽帽檐，形似一座天然的乌纱帽。更为奇特的是，在云门山山阳远望磨脐山的山顶像是一方天然“宝印”，所以又称为“宝印山”。再加上劈山的仰天人面，三山相应成趣，流传下来了许多故事。

    劈山，位于青州城南约6公里，东临磨脐山，北面云门山。云驼诸峰与其山势相连。劈山呈东南西北走形，由劈峰、人中峰、神龟峰、佛鼻峰四峰组成，主峰远望似刀砍斧劈，一分为二。北魏郦道元《水经注》中称其为：“劈头山”。每当夕阳返照，双峰分外清晰，“劈峰夕照”为古青州十景之一。古诗云：“夕阳灼烁蒸双壁，返照参差射万丛”。元代于钦赞曰：“三山联翠，障城如画”。

   劈山数次攀登，由南线（经李宝峪）、东南线（经广福寺），站在劈山远眺，磨脐山尽收眼底。今天决定攀登磨脐山，在劈山的东北方向，再上劈山行！
