英语中连词+省略句式,是句中省略了主语和be动词。英语中常见的这种省略结构有。

〈1〉连词+介词短语。例如

 When in doubt，ask the chairman himself。如果有疑问，去问主席他自己。

 I came across the old picture while on a visit to Beijing。当我在北京参观的时候，我偶然见到了那幅古画。

 〈2〉连词+名词。例如：

He could write poem when yet a child。当他还是孩子时，他就会写诗
