Hi! My name is Allan, but you can call me Lance. I have been teaching for more than six years now. In my six years of teaching, I've encountered different kinds and various levels of students. Judging from experience, I can't say that it's a piece of cake because I believe that learning is a continuous process. We learn as we grow.
嗨！我是艾伦(Allan)，但你也可以叫我兰斯(Lance)。至今，我已有六年多的教学经验，这些年，我教过各式各样、不同程度的学生，依我过去的经验，我认为学习英文并非一蹴可几，必须透过持续不断的练习，才能有所成长。

Empathy - defined as the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another, is probably the best trait that an ESL teacher should have. He must learn to put himself into the shoes of another for him to teach by heart and with passion. However, learning is a two way process. As they say, it takes two to tango. Learning is possible if the teacher and the learner go hand in hand together. It's best to achieve the learner's goal this way.
同理心 – 被定义为对于感受、想法或一种态度，是感同身受的证明，而这是一位ESL教师所应具备最好的特质，必须维持热忱和心力去辅导学生，让学生获得最适切的学习。 然而，学习是一个双向的过程，常言道：「一个巴掌拍不响」，学习亦如此，互动性极为重要。如果老师和学员一起携手学习，是达成目标最好的方式。

As for myself, I am a fun-loving and God-fearing person. I enjoy the company of family and friends. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and doing the things we love to do. Music definitely runs in the family, it's in my blood, in my genes, so I like to sing and listen to music whether it is for fun or just to relieve stress.
至于我自己，我是一个风趣、虔信上帝的人，我喜欢家人及朋友的陪伴。在我閒暇之馀，我喜欢与好友共度时光。而音乐深藏在我的血液、基因之中，所以家中一定随时有音乐流转，不只是为了好玩或是舒压，我就是喜欢唱唱歌，听听音乐。

There's a lot of ""karaoke"" bars to go to in my city, me and my friends love to hang out there every once in a while. Of course, we don't just sit, sing, eat and drink there but we also have a nice conversation, sometimes noisy, sometimes quiet with a background music to help us chill and relax. The outdoors are totally a big attraction to me, so if there's nothing to do and there's plenty of time. I hit the road off to the mountains and the beach where I can commune with nature and just be myself, take photos of every picturesque scenario.
在我居住的城市裡有很多的“”卡拉OK“，我和我的朋友偶尔也喜欢去那裡消磨时间。当然，我们不只是光坐着吃吃喝喝、唱歌，我们还会畅聊一番，因此，有时会喧哗吵闹，有时会静静地听着音乐，放鬆自己。户外生活对我具有极大的吸引力，因此，如果空閒时间充裕，我会自己一个人上山下海与大自然交会，并拍下美丽如画的动人照片。
