大约公元前2500年，也就是距今4500年，俄罗斯南部和近东北部已出现了青铜铸造技术，到公元前1300 年至公元前1100年，欧洲南部与中部都已进入了“青铜时代”，从他们的墓葬中发现青铜车马、精心制作的酒器和精美的武器。

       而中华大地在公元前21世纪（夏朝）开始步入青铜时代，二里头文化是目前考古发现的最早的青铜文化。青铜鼎盛期是在公元前13世纪至公元前11世纪，即商晚至西周，虽然在时间上和欧洲同步，但质地上欧洲远远不能和我们相提并论。
