​charge 它可以用来表示“提供活动或者服务时所收取的费用”，是可数名词，比如：银行提供很多服务，有许多是有额外收费的，这些费用往往被称为 charges。多数情况下 charge 指附加的费用，而且金额比较小。

简单地说 charge 多指额外的服务费；fee 是和专业服务相关的费用，比如学费，律师费；fare 是指车费、路费；cost 是产生的费用或成本。这几个词其实都不太一样，所以几乎不能互换。
