charge 它可以用来表示“提供活动或者服务时所收取的费用”,是可数名词,比如:银行提供很多服务,有许多是有额外收费的,这些费用往往被称为 charges。多数情况下 charge 指附加的费用,而且金额比较小。

The cashier tells me that there is a charge for printing out a
statement.
收银员告诉我,打印一份报表是要收费的。这里可以用 fee 替代,意思是一样的。
The service charges for restaurants are usually 12.5%.

cost 可能是这几个单词里使用频率最高的一个词了,它的意思包括“费用、成本”,指的是要得到某件东西或做某件事情所需支付的钱。多数情况下 cost 是不可数名词,但是用于商务场景时,cost 以复数形式出现,比如:advertising costs 广告费,production costs 制造费。
