Both work and leisure have value.
Work is a gift from God.
He has given us natural abilities and opportunities.
So that we can develop skills through work.
And we can contribute to the society and to the world.
But, If we only have work and work and work, you know what will
happen?
Right. we need leisure time and recreation.
We need activities to refresh our body and mind.
And rekindle our relationship with others.
Verse For Life 生命经文
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”
若不是耶和华建造房屋,建造的人就枉然劳力
Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stands guard in vain.
若不是耶和华看守城池,看守的人就枉然儆醒
Psalm 127:1 诗篇
“Unless the Lord build the house, those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stand guard in vain.”
This verse is telling us: We don’t need to work anxiously.
Not everything depends on our efforts.
It is God who builds and accomplishes things.
Therefore, we can be at peace and take it easy,
Trusting the goodness of God.
Knowing that God is in control.
As Christians, we are called to live out our faith on a daily
basis.
Whether we are at home, at work, at school or at leisure.
Listener friends, time is up again.
Our lesson today was: Work and Leisure.
We hope you enjoy your work as a calling from God.
And that you delight in your leisure time with a thankful
heart.
We’re so glad you’ve joined us today.
And look forward to meeting with you next time in English
World.
Until then, God Bless and
I know what you mean. But, if it gets too long, then---
You’ve said it.
