曾经沧海难为水，除却巫山不是云。

取次花丛懒回顾，半缘修道半缘君。

Having been in the seas makes it hard to be water,

Except for Wushan, no cloud is ever cloud.

Strolling through flowers and not bothering to look twice,

Partly due to my Taoist culture and partly to you.

No greater sea I’d rather see

Since I saw you, my wife;

Non-other Goddess than you are,

You’re mine — who else could be?

Away, showy flowers, now and forever,

For I’ve devoted my love half-way

For you, my better half!

再没有沧海如我愿观，

既然我已看足了你，我的妻。

再没有神女啊，能比你，

你是我的——谁堪比？
