2012年托福独立写作全年回顾

 

元旦过完了，该回顾一下2012年的各种事件了。12年，大事发生了不少，航母style啊，我妈杠杠style啊，风靡全国；一个小岛，勾起了整个中国人的抗日激情，去TMD的日本鬼子，又成了北京人的口头禅；奥数吗，也不要考了，所有奥数培训就像那胶囊事件一样，统统下架。别的领域，各种火事，我们这托福考试今年确实风平浪静，甚至是过于死沉。雅思考试，12年搞得各个烤鸭漫天吐槽，一会儿口语换个题啦，一会儿写作变个问法啦，一会儿有给你整出个延迟发布成绩，哦，对了！还有误判门等等事件。雅思，12年，那是有过大动作的。12年的托福呢？没啥变化？没啥信息？没啥style？我们今儿，就来分析分析。当然，按照旧例，我就分析独立写作。口语阅读听力神马的，大家去看吃各种鸡精。我就，不多啰嗦了。

来啰嗦啰嗦12年的独立写作，还是可以捞到出神马东西的。开说之前，咱先一起来瞧瞧今年这各次托福考试的写作题目（见文章最下方，另外题目，都是确切无误的）。

 

读完了，有些同学估计又要吐槽了，真TMD简单！说这话的，估计是2010年考托福的。2010年的托福，那是比较有难度的。无论是从词汇、句型还是内涵上讲，都是最近五年最难的，非常靠近SAT考试。但是，从11年开始，托福写作的题目难度就降低了。原因大家都清楚，托福本来就是个综合性极强的考试，听说读写相勾结，全面逼迫学生吐血准备，搞得人人都是怨声载道，不少孩子开始掉头，入了全聚德的门。ETS虽说是个学术机构，但人家也有董事会，也是个以盈利为目的的企业，财源都没了，贞操也没有神马用了，于是难度下来了。就独立写作而言，那题目词汇越来越向大陆初中难度靠拢，题目句型新概念2学到36课绝对都能搞定，题目主旨初三娃娃肯定都可以有些想法。12年，托福写作继续了这个势头，从难度上，是没有任何变化的。如果11年参加过考试的你，看了12年的题感觉简单了，那很你应该好好庆祝一下，终于达到了初中优等生水平！对于12年题目的简单，我们接下来还是一起分析分析，词句的问题自己回家或者找个培训班解决去，我们主要看看这“意”上面有什么区别。

2012年托福独立写作的“意”境

 

说到题目的意义，我们必须要注意到的，是“集中”这两个字。11年之后的考试题目表意越来越集中。话句话说，就是越来越具体，将讨论对象所涉及的话题范围，进行了极大地缩小。比如1月14日这个题目：All teachers should be required to take courses every five years to update their knowledge。要是按照10年的习惯，它应该是这样的：All teachers should be required to take courses to update their knowledge。别看只少了“五年”这么个说辞，其中的意义还是很大的。从逻辑上讲，“五年”是个思维限制。简而言之，就是你不必要过多的思考或者辩证的分析老师几年一学习比较好，我都给你写出来了，您哪，就不用费脑筋了。少了个思维步骤，不知道能够多少娃节省列提纲的时间。当然，ETS这样做，实际上也是非常符合美语的习惯的（英国人不这样）。各种ETS都会有这么个单词“specific”，它实际上是美语最基本的规范之一。当今的托福题目就做到了！这就是为啥有美国人总吵吵，托福越来越美国的一个原因。

另外一个需要注意到的事实，就是托福写作的主题越来越大众化、流行化。我们先来看张大饼：

大饼中，我们发现生活类、教育类、家庭社会类，占了很大的份子。这些题目，应该说，只要写过托福作文的yin，都多多少少会有练习。咱都知道，打开软件，花现一做过的题，那心中是多么甜美哈。老生常谈的题目，今年太多了。一出现气死人的题目，今年太少了，犯罪法律题目一道没有，考过的经济类题目也与TPO的阅读有很大关联（您要是没做TPO，那就悲催了，当然，也没几道）。另外，这回老生常谈的题目中，也没有出现整体的、或者宏观的分析，都考得是生活中屁大点儿的小事，诸如，需不需要自己阅读啊，跟啥样朋友能够混出个人样啊，甚至连08到11年在不断考察的成功哲学问题，今年也只涉及到一道题目。种种现象，我们应该能发现ETS对这个思想的要求是有所降低了。

 

ETS降低写作的思想要求是有原因的，因为托福考试的定位是越来越清晰了。托福，归根到底是个语言考试，所有用户对它的要求也就是个语言考试，能考出语言水平就可以了，没必要纠结太高深的思想内涵与逻辑布局。思想与逻辑的事，都应该是SAT的。ETS明白这个道理之后，对思想和逻辑的要求就有了一定的降低。当然，这么说并不意味着，托福就不重视思想和逻辑了，而是说，对此二者的要求有点儿降低而已。任何人如果拿雅思那种重语言不重思想的方式来对付托福写作的，那都是找死。请大家务必谨记！

一定程度的降低思维和逻辑难度，一定程度的提高语言要求，可以说这是托福写作未来至少三年的发展方向。这里顺便说一句关于雅思写作的问题，大幅提高思维和逻辑难度，保持现有的语言要求，是雅思至少未来三年的发展方向。这两家，总之是干上了。至于大家想跟哪个帮派，这需要你自己亲身混一混才知道。但是我要提醒大家两句话。第一，不要在英国人得地盘耍美语，也不要在美国人的面前装英腔；第二，托福大陆新规，两次考试之间至少隔三周，以后绝对不能拿ETS当猴耍，考个十次八次这种事情，就不可能再出现了。

 

最后，送大家一个道理，英语是学出来的，成绩是练出来的。我教了八年写作，教了数万学生，没看到哪个人能一笔不练就考个高分！想作文考满分，怎么办？问问我的学生就知道，付老师正确引导，加每天三篇作文！记住，无论你信什么教，都有公平二字！没努力，就绝对没有收获！
